The next morning Ling Wei remembers her feelings for Long Yi Sheng and blushes.
She smiled and felt how lucky she was, to like back and to marry the person she likes.
After giggling alone like a fool for a while, she called her maidservants for assistance.
"send someone to the palace, ask the empress dowager permission for my entrance"
Xiong Ying nodded and then left the room.
After eating breakfast, Ling Wei prepared the gifts she would give to the people from the palace, a total of two.
One for the dowager and one for the empress, she never visited the empress before but she will send her gifts now and then.
The person Xioa Ying sent came back with permission.
Ling Wei changed into more formal attire and then left.
"come! Weiwei, you grow up beautiful! How is your stay in your village?"
The empress dowager said after Ling Wei's greetings.

The empress dowager laughed

The empress dowager teased back, Ling Wei turned red and chose to change to topic

Then she presents a potted plant.
The empress dowager laughed lightly seeing her obviously changing the topic but gasped when she saw the plant
On the pot, the plant looks common but, the lone flower is saying otherwise.
The flower has 5 different colors, unlike the flower Long Yi Sheng gave her, the colors are ring-like inside the flower, and the colors are darker from the inside and lighter outside.
It was really pleasing to the eyes and
"is the lovely scent coming from the flower?"
Ling Wei grinned
"right? But let the physician check first, to make sure that it is safe for the empress dowager"
Ling Wei doesn't want to cause her an allergic reaction or any kind of sickness because of the flower she gifted.
The empress dowager smiled at the little girl's thoughtfulness.
They talked for a while before the dowager finally said
"you are now engaged to Yi Sheng, you should also pay a visit to the empress"
Ling Wei smiles awkwardly
"I also want to, but I am afraid, maybe I will unknowingly offend her"
Since she started entering the palace, she never visited the empress, but maybe she should start now.

"This commoner will remember, thanking the empress for her wise words"

Then Ling Wei showed another flower.
This is a white flower, the flower looks like it was picked in a glacier, it looks pristine and cold but the scent it emits is in contrast to its appearance.

She said while staring at the flower.
Ling Wei watched the empress while looking at the flower, she looked like reminiscing about something, she looked so sad and desolate.
After leaving the empress's palace Ling Wei became absent-minded.
She was thinking about the empress and the palace life.
Because her mind was flying, she did not notice that she walked in the wrong way.
Her mind is filled with the empress's cold and desolate look, she was like there but quite not there.
The palace servants tried too many times to call her but she was deep in thought.
She only snapped out of her reverie when someone hugged her from behind
"LING WEI! Are you trying to kill yourself?"
Long Yi Sheng said loudly, it was good that they were coincidentally outside.
He panicked after seeing her continue walking, that she almost fell into the huge pond!
Ling Wei looked at him in confusion
"Your Highness? What are you doing here? And where am I?"
She said after looking into the unfamiliar surroundings
"what are you thinking? You almost fall you know?"
Long Yi Sheng admonished her worriedly.
"ooh! I'm sorry! Thanks for saving me! Haha"
She said awkwardly making Long Yi Sheng feel helpless
"Seriously, Weiwei, my soul almost left my body when I saw you walking straight! This is a huge pond okay? It is impossible to not see it!"
Ling Wei laughed again
"if I say that I really did not see it will you believe?"
Long Yi Sheng looked at her and then asked
"what is it that occupied your mind that makes you lost in thought?"
Ling Wei pursed her lips, she did want to tell him but the location was inappropriate.
She froze remembering the location, she looked around and found 4 elderly looking at them.
Ling Wei looked down and finally noticed that Long Yi Sheng's arms were still wrapped around her thin waist.
She blushed hard and whisper
"Your Highness let go"
Long Yi Sheng was enjoying the feeling said 'worriedly'
"Are you sure? Can you stand?"
