Chapter : Something's Happening

JUNGKOOK :
Miss Suryavanshi, don't you think it's time to call it a night?

Startled awake, she jumped, her reflexes sending the hot coffee airborne.

It landed on her left hand, causing her to yelp in pain.

JUNGKOOK :
Nidhiii!!!...

Jungkook's POV -------»

Panic gripped me as I rushed to her side, taking her from her sit to the restroom and quickly opened the water tap while putting her hand under the cold water, hoping to alleviate her discomfort.

NIDHI :
Thank you...

I didn't respond to that, just simply nodded.

After some minutes, I turned off the water tap.

JUNGKOOK :
Is it still burning?

I asked while being a little concerned, her hand really did got a bad burn.

NIDHI :
A little...

JUNGKOOK :
You go to your place and wait there, I will come back in a minute.

NIDHI :
Uhh, it's alrig-

JUNGKOOK :
Go. Now.

She nodded and went to her desk. After that I went to my place to bring some ice from the mini fridge that I have in my cabin.

Approaching her desk, I saw that she was still signing those files that I have given her from the morning.

I sighed before taking a sit besides her.

JUNGKOOK :
Here, let me help.

NIDHI :
Oh! no no, it's okay, I can ma-

She instantly stopped talking, when I took her hand and started to gently applying the ice on her burned skin.

She hiss a little in pain, before letting me apply the ice.

NIDHI :
Thank you, Mr. Jeon.

JUNGKOOK :
You don't have to thank me, besides it was partially my fault, I shouldn't have sneak up on you like that.

NIDHI :
Well, you do that a lot though....

I gave her a glare on that.

NIDHI :
Sorry...

I sighed, before putting the empty ice cube tray on the side.

JUNGKOOK :
Do you need more ice?

NIDHI :
No....I guess, it's better now.

I noded before getting up from my sit, I was expecting her to do the same but she remained in her sit and started doing her work.

JUNGKOOK :
I think it's enough for today, you can go now.
