You went to the hospital as nervous as ever. You had already asked one of your friends to pick you up from the surgery. Everything should be just fine now. Just fine.

"Miss...ugh [Last Name], I should let you know of the possible complications and side effects of Hanahaki surgery... such as possible death...yeah and possibly going into a coma, never feeling emotion again, never falling in love again, possible lung damage the usual stuff, though that any of these complications or side effects rarely ever happens," said the Nurse.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I'm going to go through with the surgery," you said quietly. Your throat was already rough from the constant vomiting. It was like wiping your runny nose too many times. It didn't hurt to get rid of it, but constantly doing it eroded your body.

"I must ask if you have confessed to the person you love. You'll be weak for a couple of days, but you wouldn't need to do anything that could cause any further complications," the NNurse asked.

"Yeah, given he loves me, but I...confessed, and he didn't feel the same way." He couldn't love me anymore; why else would he stop showing he cared unless he simply didn't?

"Very well, please relax, happy thoughts and good luck," the Nurse said.

The oxygen mask was put over your face.

The only thing you could think about was the sweet, sly smile Tooru had given you when he asked you to move halfway across the world with him.

"Move with me, K? I promise to take care of you."

If only he had given more than just money for you to stay with him....maybe none of this would have happened....

Approximately 27 hours later...

Tooru was focused now. He had eaten dinner in the training center. His coach had told him to go home since it was 7 p.m., but Tooru didn't care. The Summer Olympics were coming soon enough. He had to train.

Tooru threw the volleyball up and hit it.

SMACK

There was now a dent in the gym floor because of him. I just need to repeat this repeatedly, and I'll have plenty of sponsorships and make plenty of money for (y/n).

He was so lost he could barely hear anything.

The Janitor smacked Tooru's shoulder.

"Mr.Oikawa, your phone has been ringing in your bag for 30 minutes. I hear it from 3 rooms away, sir," The Janitor said.

"Oh, sorry for disturbing your work," Tooru said.

"Yeah. Not to be rude, but please just answer it and go home. It's Saturday, for goodness sake," the Janitor said.

Tooru looked guilty as the Janitor put the volleyball back in a cart.

He fumbled around in his bag, trying to find his phone.

Strange, isn't that phone number usually for public health care?

"Hello, there ... .Mr.Oikawa, you're listed as one of the emergency contacts, and I couldn't reach Isablle Hernandez," the receptionist said.

"Anyways, [y/n] listed you as the second emergency contact, and she has had some complications in her surgery."

He felt his heart drop. Surgery: what surgery could [y/n] possibly get, though? She's been weak her entire life, but never to the point where she did more than drink medication for more than a couple of weeks.

"What surgery exactly," he asked, his voice shaking. He felt his entire body shake. Tears were already falling from his eyes. [Y/n] No, she can't be hurt.
