16. Surprise?

Abhinash's POV

"Everyone is going except me and Inaya." I said holding her hands as we got up.

"Why?" She asked looking at me with her confused and curious gaze.

"You will see!"

"Mrs. Verma! Shall we?" I had told our parents about my plan to avoid confusion and suspicions.

"Of course! And rest of you? You want to starve?" She asked.

"We are coming!" Aryan shouted in the background as we reached for the exit.

"Chalein?" I asked her. [ shall we go]

"Jahan aap le chalein." She said smiling and holding my hands more firmly. [ wherever you would take me]

"Itna yakeen hum pe?" [ you trust me so much?]

"Koi Shaq?" [ Any doubts?]

"Bilkul nahi." I said kissing the back of her hand. [Absolutely not]

"Want to change first?" I asked her since the gown seemed to be more than half of her weight and I wanted her to be comfortable.

"I would like to I guess." She said raising her eyebrows unsure of whatever she's saying.

"I have a pair of hoodie and trousers arranged in your changing room. I will wait."

Time skip*

I changed my outfit too, mostly to match with hers. I'm not denying. I'm whipped. And the idea of tuning with the girl with whom I want to share every living moment is not a crime. Is it?

"I'm ready!" She said coming out and smiling like a 7 year old child who won her first prize in drawing.

The grey hoodie was a little oversized for her with half of a heart carved in black. Her hair lazily reaching down her waist. She had put on the cap because of the cold. The only two things I could ever bear to do forever is

"Chalein doctor sahab? Aap toh sapnon mein hi kho gaye." She said crossing her arms and pulling me out of my trail of thoughts. [Shall we go Doctor? Or are you lost in your dreams?]

"Jaisa aap kahein Doctor sahiba." I said as my lips broke into a smile.[ As you say Ms. Doctor]

"Doctor sahiba?" She asked confused.

"Hm. Mere dil ki doctor.". I said as we proceeded towards the car. [ Hm. My cardiologist.]

"Sambhal ke. Meine koi degree nahi li hai. Mein mareez ki guarantee nahi deti." She said playing along with a confident voice. [ Be cautious. I don't have a degree. I won't give any guarantee to my patients.]

"I trust my doctor. "

"So do I."

"Then let me tie the blindfold around your eyes." I said taking out the red silk cloth from my pocket.

"Is it necessary?"

"Very much."

"What if I fall?"

"I will be there to hold you." I said as her eyes lightened with something indescribable.

"Then tie it." She said turning around and sliding her hair forward.

I tied the blindfold around her eyes and led her to the car.

Time skip*

"Your surprise is just a few steps away Milkshake." I said unbuckling her seat belt.

I walked out of the car to her side and helped her come out.

"W-where are we?" She asked holding my hands tightly.

"Somewhere you would love to be." I said loosening the grip a bit as I had to call someone.

"Don't leave my hands."

"Chhodne ke liye nahi padka hai yeh haath Inaya." I said looking at her and could see the blush creeping onto her already flushed cheeks even in the dark.

"I will just take a call. Stand calmly okay? I'm not going anywhere."

"Okay"

Inaya's POV

On the call***

"Hello? Is everything arranged?....Good....we are on our way....ok....I will hang up now." I heard him speaking to someone about arrangements and decorations and I can't stop my heart from beating faster every passing moment.

Call ends***

"Walk slowly with me okay?" He asked holding me closer to him.

I could feel soft grass beneath my shoes which slowly transited into...tiled floors most probably. The weather is relatively colder yet I felt comfortable with his warmth snuggling into my arms. I couldn't stop thinking about her. I should have been there. I should be executing my plan. This is why I came here in the first place. I have to-

"And you are finally standing infront of your surprise." Abhinash said leaving my hand as he went behind to open my blindfold before I could reach for it.

"Let me open it slowly. I want to record your reaction." He said as the blindfold slowly slid over my face.

I opened my eyes and....
