Leah's POV

Wednesday

12:24 pm

I'm distracted when my office phone rings and I place the papers down on the table that I was looking at before answering.

I shouldn't be getting any calls at this time...

It's my break.

"Afternoon, are you expecting a young man by the name of Zai" the reception voice comes through the speaker.

Why can he never gives them his full name...

"Yeah let him come up"

Couple seconds after the door pushes open and Zaidan walks in. A smile spreads across his lips when our eyes meet.

"Yuh gud madhead?"

"Yeah a wah dat yuh bring fi mi?" I ask looking at the plastic bag in his hand.

"Yuh favorite?"

"Chinese food?" I ask smiling.

"Yeah"

He places the food on my table along with a Starbucks drink.

I haven't had it since I came back to Jamaica.

"Thanks" I say smiling.

"Welcome" he says as pulls out the chair from under the table and brings it closer to me.

He sits on it and his eyes graze around the office for a while.

I bring my attention to the food and when I look back at him his eyes are on me.

"Yuh nuh member when yuh almost gi mi pussy in yah suh?"

I roll my eyes inwardly at the mention of that.

What was I thinking?

Our relationship was fresh and I was always craving his touch.

You still do...

"Yeah I do..." I say pulling the box.

I smile when I see the amount of chicken that's in there.

I would normally get a could amount but this is definitely more.

"Dem fraid a yuh?"

"Why yuh say suh?" he asks.

"This is alot of chicken" I say.

"So have u thought about what you wanna do for your birthday?"

"Give back" he says.

"Weh yuh mean?" I ask looking at him confused.

"Visit st.thomas and gi di kids dem a likkle treat"

"For your birthday?"

"Yeah anuh just now me aguh do it" he shrugs.

"That's very nice of you but....besides that...what do you want for yourself?"

"You" he smirks.

"Why can't you never be serious?" I ask.

"Babes mi good, mi nuh business bout nuh birthday...mi just thank god fi see a next year and call it a day"

I care about his birthday more than he does.

It's starting to feel like it's my birthday that's coming up.

"What about a little party?"

I look at him and his eyes are now pierced to his phone.
