Zaidan's POV

Monday

12:19 pm

Aaliyah said she would be back by now but she still isn't.

I decided to sit on the balcony and check my emails on my laptop. I just can't seem to sleep when she isn't home.

I need to know she's home and safe because she has no self control when she's out.

I take my focus off the laptop when a Honda CR-V pulls up outside my gate.

I watch as the car is parked but seconds pass and nobody steps out.

I dial my security and he picks up on the first ring.

"Don't do nothing , mi a forward" I say before hanging up.

I'm sure he's wondering if I'm expecting somebody at this hour.

I quickly make my way oustide.

Dis cya real a bloodclaat.

As I make my way down me and Aaliyah eyes meet.

I turn my eyes off her and look over at a female who is stepping out of the backseat.

So who drove them?

I wait for the driver to wind the window down but the person doesn't.

Why the fuck she didn't call me?

"Bye" Leah says to her passing me through the gate. She holds her head down not looking at me.

Embarrassed I think.

"Bye hun" the girl say as she attempts to get back in the car.

My eyes are now on Aaliyah that looks like she's rushing to reach inside.

Why would she try to run now?

As I reach inside the house I close the door behind me. I spot Aaliyah stepping up the stairs.

"Stop" I say as she stop in her tracks and turn to face me from the stairs.

"You know that you could've called me" my voice coming out clipped.

"Zaidan those are my friends...I don't want to hear it" she says continuing in her steps.

"From where?" I ask now stepping up the stairs to reach her.

I'm upset she didn't call me.

Anything could've happened to her this late.

Friends or not.

"Jada had too much liquor so she couldn't drive" she says.

I let out a sigh and close my eyes before opening them back.

"I asked you a question and you didn't give me an answer to it" I say giving her a deadpan look.

"Jada's friends. They offered to drop me home" she says looking down.

What is wrong with her?

"Aaliyah any fucking thing could've happened to you"

"Zaidan don't speak to me like that" she says stepping back from me.

"Aaliyah why would you have people coming to my house" my voice comes out calm but I'm at the tip of my anger.

I don't like people knowing where I stay.

"I'm...sorry" she says not looking at me.

As much a I'm upset now I'm trying to keep calm.

"Aaliyah" I say frustratedly raising my hands to my face.
