Ad Astra Per Aspera (Part 2)
'to the stars, through difficulties'

("Depsey, wake up! Wake up !.")

The scene went from pitch black to daytime.

Depsey was lying on the ground.

Her hand is still clutching the duffel bag.

As I looked around, I saw that the old coffin was missing, which made me realize she had been transported.

To what era? I do not have any idea?

My priority right now is to wake Depsey, as this memory seemed to be connected to her.

I saw her eyelids fluttering, which meant she was waking up.

("You're awake now !. Hurry up and eat. You just got transported !.")

I saw her crawl to a corner.

Instead of opening her bag and feeding herself, she was just staring at nothing.

Depsey seems oblivious to her surroundings , and she did not even realize that she was in another era.

I could not help but just sigh in surrender, looking at her state.

So I just huddled close to her.

("That's okay. I know. You need some time. That's okay. Take the time you need.")

I started tapping her shoulders and waited for her.

("Depsey, I know what you are going through, but are you not hungry? I can hear your tummy rumbling. You need to drink water, at least.")

I heard Depsey huff and sat up.

("Woah! Can you hear me? Depsey? Hello?")

I was waving at her face, but she did not even blink.

Depsey grabbed her bag and started rummaging inside, but there's only clothes, a blanket, canned goods, dried fruits, candles and matches, and a bolo inside.

("Ei? So much for packed all you need")

Depsey closed it and went outside.

I followed her to a stream, and she drank water from it.

When she was refreshed, she started looking at her surroundings, and I could see a confused look in her face.

("Yep! I know. Strange. Right? You will get used to it.")

She started going down the forest and probably looking for her uncle's house, but it's not there.

What she could see was trees and tall grasses.

She could not see any other houses and people.

And I could not see the Lakem village as well or at least a little touch of human civilization.

(Oh my gosh! If Lakem Village is not yet here, then is this before the 16th century? Please don't tell me you got transported to Stone Age?")

I could not paint the look on her face.

I don't know if she is about to laugh or cry.

She went around the area and could not see any living person.

I saw her look up and laughed scornfully.

("Ah, Depsey? Please be okay. Please be okay!. ")

Depsey walked and walked aimlessly without any destination.

She slept when it was nighttime, ate a little when she was hungry, and looked for a stream when she's parched.

("Oh! The scene is changing.")
