"This is my daughter, I don't know if lee lee made you meet her" my aunt says reffering to Nique.

"Heard of her one time but first time seeing her"

"Oh, it's good to finally meet you because Lee Lee said she's gonna bring you here and I was wondering when that day is gonna come" she says and I roll my eyes inwardly.

He chuckles.

Minutes after I tell the they're goodbyes and I leave the house with him.

When we're on the verandah he shoots me a look and the mask he had on earlier is no longer there.

There's the real him that they dont know of...

"Me aguh mek somebody pick up yuh car just gwan inna di car" his tone harsh.

"How did you find my location?"

"Nuh worry bout dat"

"Did you put a tracker on the Gwagon?" I ask.

I told him I didn't like the idea of that the last time he did it.

"Gwan inna di car" he says not answering my question.

"I'll drive home"

"Aaliyah" he warns.

"Whose gonna take my car back home?"

"Blackman" he says.

"No thats okay, I'll just drive behind you"

He opens the car door and looks at me.

"How long yah guh mek mi wait?"

He attempts to pull my wrist, I  raise my hand and a hard slap connects into his face.

"A weh di fuck yuh just do?"

"I can make decisions for myself, I'll like to drive myself home"

"How dat mek fucking sense?"

"It mek sense than have somebody come all the way over yah suh fi it!"

He pinches the brick of his nose and lets out a sigh.

"Aaliyah give the key to me"

I hand the key to him and gets into the passenger side of his vehicle.

I can't believe we're doing this here.

He slams the door shut before going around to the driver's side.

10 minutes into the drive the car has been silent.

His phone rings and he picks it up with his other hand.

"Youth just nuh call back dah phone yah fi di rest a di day" his voice stern.

I pick up my phone and scroll through it to ease the tension in the car.

"Can you please stop at plaza, I need to pick up something from a friend" I say breaking the silence.

As I thought he was about to turn into the plaza he drives passes it.

"Let me out here"

"When mi let yuh out how yuh bloodclaat reach home?" he says.

"I know you heard when I said stop at the plaza"

He goes silent.

His face looks hard and he has a firm grip on the steering wheel.

When we got home Zaidan went back on the road. The nanny is on break today so I'm just home with Ivy only.

I'm trying to decide what to do for Zaidan's birthday since the day is getting closer.
