As if knowing what he was feeling, Sera lifted up her left arm, one that was smooth and clear, unblemished from anything, "I don't have a soul mark anymore so I'm no longer your soulmate," she stated, leaving no room for argument, as if she truly accepted that thought herself, "But I do hope, we can remain friends. That I can still be somebody you lean on for support. But if it's too hard for you, then I'll take a step back."
A small part of him wanted to reject her offer because he knew it would hurt. It would hurt to have Sera right beside him, with her alluring smile and captivating amber eyes, and not be able to claim them as his. Yoongi had always regretted how he acted during his relationship with Sera, regretted hesitating so much, for being too scared and not being brave enough about his love.
Every day it haunted him, just how much he screwed up with Sera.
However, he didn't want to let her go.
Not again.
'This is how Sera must have felt,' Yoongi wondered, looking up to meet with amber eyes that always seemed so distant, to now gazing so surely at him. They shined so brightly that Yoongi wondered if they showed this brightly during the months she was with them.
With that thought, Yoongi knew just how desperate Sera must have felt, how painful it must have been, to stay away from the very people that were meant for you.
'How did you endure all this time?' Yoongi silently thought because he wasn't strong enough to stay in the background as she'd done for four years.
Even if it hurt him and everyone else in the process, Yoongi could not find himself to care, "I see, then-" he paused momentarily, closing his eyes to take a deep breath before opening them once to stare right back into amber eyes with the same sureness as they held, "Then friends. Let's remain friends. But I can't really stay here forever and freeload off you guys."
With his response, it seemed as if Sera visibly relaxed a little, as she finally paid some attention to her drink now, "Where are you planning to stay?"
Yoongi then remembered a message he got from a particular someone a few days ago, "Actually that's what I wanted to talk to you about. If you want to come and meet my sister with me? I'm gonna stay at her place for a bit."
"Ah, this sister you mentioned before!" Sera smiled brightly, "I would love to meet her!"

Eventually, the weekdays turned to the weekends, and Sera and Yoongi found themselves in front of a small house, on the outskirts of Seoul and Incheon, where his sister lived. Yoongi, who had a key to the house, didn't bother to knock as he opened the front door and let himself in, "Hana! I'm here!" he shouted to declare his presence, taking his shoes off and placing them neatly by the front door.
Sera followed behind, doing the same but bowing a little as she passed the entrance "Excuse me," she spoke respectfully as she entered the main part of the house, and saw the owner of said house.
"Oh, big brother!" Hana walked around the corner from where she was in the kitchen to greet the two, and Sera finally realized how strong Da-Bin's genes were. With pin-straight black hair that ran past her shoulder, to her mid back, and her blunt bangs hid her forehead, similar to Yoongi's usual style but short enough to show off her signature Min eyes. Deep and dark gray, which Sera always thought to belong to a predator. The only thing that eased the intense gaze was the happy smile she had, and the fact she was considerably shorter than Sera, as she most likely just barely reached Sera's shoulder. "Why are you so late?" She chided the moment she saw Yoongi, before her gray eyes turned to his companion, "Oh you must be Sera!"
