Time passed by; swiping them up in a haze. The infamous friend group nearly fainted then and there from tiredness as the weight of responsibilities fell on them.

"My legs are sore" barty complained, resting his leg over Carmen's lap who pushed it off with a threatening glare.

Ever since her fight with Regulus things weren't going out well, especially since they still had to fake it all.

"Don't be so dramatic, it wasn't that rough" Regulus said with a roll of his eyes.

"'Wasn't that rough' he says, we've been practicing for five hours! Even my throat is complaining" He nearly yelled groaning when Carmen pushed his leg again.

"Keep your sweaty body away from me" she huffed, scooting further in the couch.

Five minutes earlier she was thriving in the calmness of the common room, peacefully studying, but now; the boys were making it a miracle to focus.

"If you moved your body every once in a while you'd know how sports feel" barty scoffed, before realizing his mistake and raising his hands in surrender when she slapped him on the arm.

After fifteen minutes of growling at each other; Evan cut them off by sitting in between "No, but seriously though, don't you play any sport?"

Carmen shook her head with her nose scrunched up, the thought of exercising upsetting her "you keep doing whatever you guys are doing though"

"hmm, weird because I remember you telling me about how you used to dance" barty teased and carmen immediately turned a deep shade of red.

despite the obvious tension, Regulus couldn't help but wonder aloud "you dance?"

She nodded, her bangs falling onto her face "Ballet"

If it was possible: Regulus admired her even more.

Barty shook his head, amusement dancing in his eyes
"I don't buy it, too graceful for you"

She hit him again, with a cushion this time "quit bullying me"

"Quit hitting me" he bit back and the argument started once more, even with Evan sitting in the middle.

Regulus couldn't help but smile at their antics "What's wrong with you two? you never fight"

"Ask her! She's been in a mood since yesterday and when I dared to ask her what's wrong; she exploded at my face" The messy haired boy complained, pointing at his best friend accusingly while Carmen shot a blaming glance towards Regulus as he was the reason for her mood.

" And I've apologized, multiple times!" Carmen raised her hands in defense.

"Not enough" the boy mumbled with a glare.

Carmen opened her mouth to fight back, but closed it seemingly realizing something "How about I buy you a butterbeer?"

Barty, whom eyes immediately lit up at the thought of a delicious warm butterbeer "Then I might consider forgiving you", but the smile on his face implied that he already did.

"Okay then, get ready while I grab my coat" she announced getting up, but not faster than barty who ran up the stairs like a little child with a lollipop.

"Mental that one" Evan shook his head in amusement, "I'm coming too, I need something warm" he added and Carmen paused up the stairs and quickly nodded with a small smile, before disappearing into her dorm room too.

"You should come too" Evan suggested, casually sipping on his tea.

"I don't think she wants me to" Regulus sighed, running a hand through his wet hair.

"You two had a fight I presume?" The blonde wondered and his thoughts were confirmed when Regulus slowly nodded.

"She hasn't said a word to me ever since, completely ignoring me"

Evan paused for a moment, before asking "Was it your fault?"

"I might have yelled alittle, called her insane" he admitted calmly, his brows furrowing as he realized his mistake

"Then you should apologize" Evan said as if it was the easiest thing on the planet and Regulus immediately gave him an offended look.

"Fine then, have it your way" Rosier rolled his eyes, immediately stopping when Carmen returned.

She looked at Evan and then around the whole room, skipping over Regulus and settling on Evan again "He's still up there?" She asked, referring to barty.

"He always takes too long to get ready" Evan stated and she let out a groan "Well, can't you tell him to hurry up?"

The boy smirked, glancing between Carmen and Regulus before running up the stairs that led into the boys dormitories.

Now that they were alone; Carmen didn't know what to say, neither did Regulus.

They sat in silence for what felt like eternity, but Regulus couldn't bear it anymore "Don't you have classes right now?"

She bit the inside of her cheeks, seemingly irritated to hear his voice,

"I don't" carmen spat, still not meeting his eye.

Regulus smirked, She was obviously lying and he knew that. "Well, Am I not invited to your little getaway?"

This time she did turn his way, leveling him with narrowed eyes "Don't you have classes right now?"

His face broke into a teasing smile when he realized that she's quoting him, "Nope" he said popping the 'p' and added "Completely free"

She rolled her eyes at his smirking state and gave him a fake smile before rolling her eyes.

'God must be really angry with me' Carmen thought.

'God must really love me' Regulus thought.
