The meeting was dull just like another i didn't understand the need of it but Avery's words kept taunting me over and over it's like he knew something was coming, something big

I was seated next to the dark lord , he seemed to have taken quite an interest in me and i accepted it with honor on the other side Carmen was seated next to her mother , she looked miserable and extremely bored

"Now that we have established these issues i would like to remind you all about the increasing in halfbloods which is considered a disgrace, and the need to stop that has urged me exceedingly that i couldn't sleep" Voldemort began speaking

Everyone in the room seemed hooked, eager to know where this was going except ofcourse her

"And to fix this difficult problem i have decided that our two most strong willed deatheaters must be betrothed" He stated voice loud with an evil grin across his face as hums of agreement we heard from everyone,

It couldn't be....

"Our very own Regulus Black should and will be engaged to our newest member Carmen Thompson directly after they both turn eighteen, and until then they are obligated to live together, perhaps that could teach her to listen to her superiors properly" as soon as the words left his mouth the room fell silent and the only sound i could hear was my heart drumming as each beat raced the other

I opened my mouth to speak but the words couldn't be formed and the look on Carmen's face was evenly the same but the creeking sound of a chair disturbed my thoughts away

Carmen stood shocked to the bone ,her eyes were glassy and her face has lost all color "no" she mumbled barely loud for any of us to hear but it seemed that Voldemort did,

"What are you saying young lady?" He glanced at her as a daring look was visible in his eyes

"No!" She cried "You could not force me to do anything!" Anger and fierce shined through her as she got up and left us all speechless

"My lord ,she should be punished for her lack of manners allow me to" her mother smiled deviously, the thought of torturing her own daughter seemed appealing

"Leave her be, nothing is going to change her fate" he said before dismissing us all

Everyone quickly scrambled away to their feet except for me, i stayed there glued to my seat as the panic settled in.
