"No, Hanna knows what Hanna means." -Hanna Marin

"All of us? What does your mom want with all of us?" Spencer frowned. The six of them were in the girls' bathroom, either standing or leaning against the sinks. Ali was looking in the mirror while Emily told them about the dinner at her place.

"Well, I think she's mostly asking Ali," Emily pointed out, shifting her binder in her arms.

"That's not like your mom," Ali said, slightly panicked as she turned away from the mirror. "She's a planner."

"Okay, I'm pretty sure Emily's mom is not one of Mona's secret ninjas," Hanna scoffed.

"Are we supposed to be suspicious of everyone now?" Isabel added sarcastically.

"It saves time," Ali shrugged.

"Well, I don't think I'm gonna be finished at Radley," Aria sighed. "I can't just put that Bethany drawing up on the bulletin board with my phone number. It's gonna take a while."

"'A' is not gonna give us a while," Spencer argued.

"Hey, are you going to Ezra's later to help him move his research and spy stuff?" Aria asked Spencer abruptly.

"Sure," Spencer nodded. She turned to Emily. "Look, Em, I will try to make it, but-"

"Can you put your mom off?" Isabel interrupted, looking at Emily hopefully.

"No, not without an epic excuse," Emily huffed, crossing her arms.

"Okay," Ali sighed. "Then we'll just do it, get it over with."

"Your wish is our command," Hanna muttered under her breath. They all turned to look at her.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Ali frowned.

The bell suddenly rang, interrupting Hanna's response. "I have to go to class," was all she said. Isabel sighed and then followed, knowing her bio teacher wasn't going to let her be late again without a detention.

Later, Isabel was in her apartment, getting ready for Emily's mom's dinner party. She sighed as she stared at herself in the mirror, trying to put on some diamond earrings.

"You know you're gonna be late?" Jason called from the living room. He was watching TV from the couch, looking at her teasingly.

"Maybe I want to be late," Isabel grumbled. She stood back a little, tilting her head as she looked at her carelessly done makeup with a frown.

"I heard that," Jason called back, and Isabel sighed. She really didn't want to go to this stupid party. There were a million other things she'd rather do, including pulling her teeth out one by one.

"I just don't want to go to Pam's dinner," she shrugged, checking her hair. Jason raised an eyebrow at her.

"Well, you have to. Support Emily and Ali."
