"Sunbae!" yelled Kai from a distance and Soobin's mood was immediately uplifted. What a sunshine of a guy. Always had impeccable timing. 

"Hey, did you load your luggage?" asked Soobin, giving Kai a smile. 

Kai turned and showed Soobin his backpack, "I don't need a suitcase, although Beomgyu got one."

"Beomgyu...the guy you said who wasn't your friend?"

Kai scratched his neck awkwardly. "Well, I wouldn't say he's my best friend but you can say we patched things up. It was quite surprising. I didn't expect a man with the size of his ego to come and apologize to me. I was taken aback but I could sense it was genuine apology and I couldn't help but forgive him."

"But you know there's a chance that he might, well I don't know what exactly he did but, he might do it again?"

Kai chuckled. "It's alright, he already told me that there's a high chance he's going to behave like that again. Let's see when the time comes."

Soobin nodded. See? Even Kai's egoistic friend managed to apologize to his friend and here was Soobin, unable to apologize to best friend. 

Soobin was about to say something when Yeonjun approached them again. Soobin's happy mood instantly became a downpour. What was he doing here? Again?

"Oh hey, I've seen you. Beomgyu's friend, Kai, right?" said Yeonjun, stretching his hand out, "I don't think I've ever introduced myself formally, I'm Yeonjun."

Kai looked at Yeonjun, surprised. 

Kai was pretty well versed in human body language due to his fascination with them and right now, he knew that Yeonjun had no interest in actually talking to him. If anything, Yeonjun came here to talk to Soobin. Yeonjun had also seemingly lost the dickhead vibe to him. Kai gasped internally. Was things turning out for the better?

Kai gave a wide smile in return, and shook Yeonjun hand vigorously. "Ah yes, very nice to meet you. I'm HueningKai but you can just call me Kai."

"Right, Beomgyu talks about you quite often so I thought might as well come and say hi to you since you were talking to someone I'm quite comfortable approaching."

"Huh? Since when was I consider "comfortable to approach"?" said Soobin, raising an eyebrow. 

Kai looked at Soobin, slightly panicky. Finally Yeonjun looked like he wanted to make amends which would be the perfect chance to fall in love for the both of them, did Soobin really have to be so sassy right now?

"Since forever. Aren't we comfortable enough? Now that you've already spent the night at my---"

Soobin instantly covered Yeonjun's hand mouth with his hand. He looked over at Kai and gave a small smile, "Give me a minute, I just want to talk to him."

Soobin, then grabbed Yeonjun's hand and dragged him away. Kai simply watched, excitement coursing through him. He couldn't wait to Beomgyu about this new development. This would be their first breakthrough!

"Okay, tell me now. What is your issue? You want to black mail me again? Expose my sexuality in front of everyone, is that what you want?"

Yeonjun took one step away from Soobin, who was fuming. He didn't want to risk getting hit. 

"Hey, about that. I just want to apologize for that you know. I've been a real asshole."

Soobin scoffed. "You expect me to believe that bullshit? Especially from you?"

"Soobin, listen. I'm swallowing my ego here to apologize to you but I know I have to do it because you deserve an apology. I don't know why I was being an asshole to you earlier but I'm different right now, I want you to forgive me." Yeonjun said, hoping his apology was convincing enough. He looked at Soobin, who seemed to be contemplating. Please believe it, please believe it, please---

Yeonjun's words hit Soobin hard. Even Yeonjun was going as far as swallowing his ego to apologize to Soobin. If he wanted to, he could've left Soobin alone and never apologized or he could've continued with his harassments making Soobin's life utterly miserable but no he didn't do any of that. He apologized to Soobin, who he hated. And Soobin couldn't even apologize to his own best friend. 

Soobin felt so pathetic and he felt like he had even lost to Yeonjun in this aspect. 

"Fine, I forgive you. I just hope you don't treat anyone that way."

Yeonjun gave Soobin a wide smile and for a second Soobin felt his heart began to race. Soobin glared at the ground, no no, Soobin definitely did not think that Yeonjun had a gorgeous smile. 

Nope, definitely not. 

Yeonjun looked at Soobin, who had a slight blush on his face. Yeonjun's smile turned into a smirk. 

This was going to be easier than he thought.
