Choosing who we want to date and spend the rest of our lives with is like trying to catch a butterfly in a strong wind. It's not always easy. No mater how my Ate Yssah fought for her first love, she always end up on the palm of our parents.

They are so cunning, too powerful and is capable of ruining someone's life just so we could cut the thought of being with an average man.

They always had the final say and their authority always prevailed.

As I was watching her and her fiancé entertaining the visitors, she smiles from ear to ear as if she's really happy with this set up. However, her eyes tell otherwise.

They are so heartless.

People in here would literally think they are deeply in love.

"What's wrong?" Nalipat ang atensyon ko kay West.

"Nothing," malumanay na sagot ko.

"Do you feel bad for her?"

"She deserves it. She had many chance to run away but still chose to stay. Napakatanga."

"I'm sure she has her reasons."

Napahigpit ang hawak ko sa bote. One thing that I hate about her personality is that, she's selfless and is going to endure everything so I wouldn't get hurt. But what she's doing to herself right now is causing me even more pain.

"If our family will set us up like them, what will you do?"

"My decision depends on yours."

Napangiti ako sa sinagot niya. He's just telling me now that my decision will also be his decision.

"I mean, if you're okay with it, then I'm completely fine with it too. Besides, I'm also interested in you," he added.

I arched an eyebrow,  giving off an air of skepticism and intrigue.

"What if ayoko?"

"Then I'll put in the effort to make you develop feelings for me."

He let out a chuckle upon witnessing my reaction.

"Oo nga, but there's no guarantee that your decision will be firm."

"Vitamins ko 'to."

"I wanna help Ate Yssah but I'm so useless," she said.

"Just worry about yourself. She can handle it."

"Right. How can I save her when I'm also drowning?"
