CHAPTER 4

It's been 2 weeks since I met and found a new friend sa katauhan ni Freen Sarocha Chankimha. She was nice and accommodating. Ganun naman siguro talaga pag public figure, pero I can sense that she is really a good person.

Well actually, since the day na hinatid nya ako sa bahay ay hindi na uli kami nagkita o nagkausap man lang. Ang naalala ko nagkukuwentuhan kami ng random stuffs about each other. I've learned from her that she's already 23 and an Interior Designing graduate. She was the only daughter of a former beauty queen, Frances Maria Reyes. Her mother is a legend in the pageantry. While her father is well- known businessman in the country and overseas. Marami pa syang naikuwento kasi throughout our way, halos sya lang ang nagsasalita. I just shared few thinigs about me pag may tinatanong sya. Behind the camera, medyo tahimik lang naman akong tao. Kabaligtaran ng nakikita nila sa tv na very jolly, expressive, and witty.

Today will be another busy day dahil aside sa commitment ko sa variety show ay sunud- sunod ang photoshoot ko for a fashion magazine and commercials. Noong mga nakaraang linggo naging busy din ako kasama si Harry sa mga guestings and photoshoots. Kahit nakakapagod at nakakapuyat, I don't regret entering to this business dahil ito talaga ang gusto ko since bata pa ako. I want to mark my own legacy in the entertainment industry katulad ng mga sikat na superstars and someday, gusto ko mapasama ang pangalan ko sa walk of fame.

"Becky, after dito sa studio direcho na tayo sa Garden Resort for your photoshoot. Naka-standby na rin doon ang team natin para ihanda ang mga susunotin mo." Ang sabi ni Mama A (short for Aileen), ang handler ko.

"Ok po Ma, let's get it on. Workload mode tayo today." Masaya kong sabi.

"Hi Becky, can we go for dinner later?" Biglang sulpot at pagtanong ni Harry.

"You know how much I wanted to spend a little time for you my dear ka-loveteam pero tight ang sched ko today...so I can't". I shrugged my shoulder and show him a sad face.

Inakbayan nya ako at parang batang nag-pout pa. "Aww.... Minsan na nga lang tayo magkaroon ng quality time. Hmp! Chaka wag mo akong tawaging "my dear ka-loveteam". Dapat "my dear love" na lang." Sabi nitong nanunukso.

Natawa naman ako sa inasal nya. Minsan talaga nag- aasal bata itong kapartner ko eh.

"Uy tampo na agad sya. Babawi ako sa'yo pag hindi na ako busy." Sabi ko naman habang nag- aayos na ng gamit ko.

"Tapos pag hindi ka na busy, ako naman ang busy." Sabi pa nya at tumawa na lang kaming dalawa.

Magugustuhan sana ng mga fans naming kung makikita kami having dinner together. You know, for publicity. Pero hindi naman namin ginagawa ni Harry ang mga espesyal na bagay tulad ng pagkain na magkasama para lang sa publicity dahil tunay na magkaibigan naman kami. He's really a good friend of mine.

I head out to my commitment with some of my team. Sana maging mabilis lang ang photoshoot para makauwi rina agad ako at makapagpahinga. Rest is very important to me.

First on my schedule, a tv commercial for a well-known perfume. Sinimulan na agad akong ayusan at ibinigay agad ang susuotin ko for the shoot. May ilan din akong mga kasamang mga stars who are actually nice and friendly. After 3 hours, pack up na kami and I have to go to the next shoot.

Second stop, an interview for a teen magazine. As one of the influential young stars, the magazine asked me about how to uplift the spirit of the young generation nowadays despite the many social issues surrounding them.
"Be kind to yourself and other people." I ended the interview with these simple words.

Third and last commitment, is a photoshoot for Top To Toe, a fashion magazine. Same with my previous shoot, I immediately head on my team na naka-ready na sa location. Sa isang cozy and elegant house ang location ng photoshoot. Perfect for some perfect photos. May garden at pool sa labas ng bahay. Ang interior naman ay indescribable ang kagandahan. Konti lang ang furniture at made of glass ang karamihan sa walls kaya lumabas ang pagiging modern and minimalist nito.
