Chapter-14 Friendship and Misunderstanding

Freya's POV
The next morning:
I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door to find Bucky "Hi, can we talk?" he asked me looking down "Sure, come in" he walked in and sat on the chair

"I'm sorry, Steve doesn't remember you because of me. I will never be able to forgive myself" he said, I sighed and sat on the bed "You were possessed Bucky, it isn't your fault" I said to him

"Steve could've died because of me, you know." he said still looking at the floor "But you saved him, in the end that is all that matters" I said to him and he looked me in the eyes

"You and Steve huh?" he asked and I blushed "How did you...I.." I was flustered "Oh come on, you trying to save him from me and also, you kind of admitted it yesterday. I was there you know" he said

"Well we were a thing for some time, now he doesn't even know me" I sighed "I know I'm not Steve but-" "I am not dating you!" I cut him off "Chill princess, I was just going to say let's be friends" he chuckled

"Ohhh...in that case, I would love to be your friend" I smiled and we shook hands "I have a question" I said and he looked confused "What is it?" "Do all you 40's men look down while talking to girls?" I asked and he laughed

"Well, if it's someone we love or if we're ashamed of something we did or something we're about to ask, yeah we do that" "Noted" I said and we both burst into laughter

Author's POV
Later in the afternoon:
Freya was messing around in the training room when Thor and Pietro walked in "I see you haven't changed much sister" Freya turned around "Brother! You're back!" she ran to him, he lifted her up and they hugged

"Hey, what 'bout me?" Pietro asked looking offended "It is impossible to forget you Pietro. It is very quiet here without you" she said to him "Is that your way of saying that you missed me?" he asked cheekily "Perhaps, things here are a little.. hectic" Freya uttered

"So, the Captain doesn't remember you?" Thor asked "He is back to how he was when we first met and do not even think about threatening him or anything" I glared at him "I would never" he said sarcastically and I chuckled "I'm still waiting for my hug" Pietro said and Freya hugged him

Steve's POV
I was passing by the gym to get to my room when I saw Freya hugging Pietro and a memory came to me

"She wouldn't do that." I said and Freya chuckled "Watch me Cap." She went and sat on Pietro's lap, he grabbed her waist and pulled her in. They started making out.

I sighed. As if I actually loved her, she loves Pietro. I continued to walk to my room.
