She looked different. She looked happy.

Full of smiles as I watched her rush around the room, it was almost as if I was seeing her for the first time as she moved around the crowded room.

The cater was back in her happy space.

The way she talked about the various foods on offer. The way she laughed with a smile. The way she bounced on the balls of her feet as she felt the fear of uncertainty.

That was the woman I had once loved. The woman I had once tried to control. The woman I had once forced to play by my rules.

Now look at her.
