Chapter 3

Lucy's POV

"Just remember girl,' The first one that falls loses.' Falling in love is not an option here." Cana said before I stood up to approach the King. I walk straight in the aisle towards his table but suddenly he is also walking towards my direction.

"Hey Mr. Dragneel. Do you mind if we have a chat?" I asked

He said that he also wants to talk to me and we went in the Fairy Garden.

As we walk side by side towards the garden I hear some murmur again

"I can't believe it. The Ultimate Players are walking together!" someone whispered just enough for me to hear. Note the sarcasm I made.

And I hear other murmur just the same as the others about us being together and walking side by side. I mean why would they make a fuss about this? We are also humans that can walk together, duh!

"So here we are, what do you want to talk about?" I asked him first

"You can go first if you like." He said nicely while seating at the wooden bench

"No, I insist." I said

"Okay, come and have a seat first." He said and taps the space beside him. I just do as he said. It makes things easier for me to get closer to him.

"I just want to say sorry blondie-ah I mean Lucy Heartfilia for my rudeness about earlier this morning. I was just cross about something that's all. Can you forgive me." He said in a melodic tone he used to flirt with girls and gives me a wink. That gives me shivers but I need to endure it. I just put up a fake sweet smile.

"Oh no, I don't mind that. I just hope that you get over it already. By the way call me Lucy." I said

"Ah yes, I already did Lucy!" He said giving me a big smile.

'Keep it together Lucy.' I said to myself

"Well that's great, I think." I said

"So! What do you want to say to me?" He said and put his arms around the bench

"I was just wondering if you want to have a date with me?" I asked sweetly and he seated properly and looked at me in surprised look in his eyes. Bingo! I caught him in my pace.

"What did you say? Did I just hear that the Queen wants to date me? So, you have fallen in my charms huh?" he said and comb his hair with his hand

"Do you want it or not?" I asked still having this fake smile on my face

"Of course! Why not? When do you want to have it?" he asked

"This weekend if you want."

"Okay sugar. This weekend it is." He said

"Alright. Bye." I said and stood up and walk out the garden, but he stop me.

"Wait! Aren't you getting my number?" he asked and bring out his phone

"Ah no! I already have it. Later! King!" I said and skip to the exit.

Yeah, baby! I got the upper hand here! The king already falls into my trap.

I went to my next class and Cana is the only one of my friends that I am with in this subject. We sitted at the center of the classroom.

"So how did it go?" she asked and we are still waiting for our teacher

"Perfect! I already got him into my pace!" I said giving her a thumbs up

"That's great! Just make sure he doesn't see through you alright. You know that he is also a player." Cana said

"Do not worry sister! This young lady here is pro in this game called Love!" I said like I'm in a stage play.

"Yeah right." she laughs

 "I think I will really enjoy this game. I'm not doing this for Lisanna anymore but for my own-" I was interrupted by Cana

"Amusement?!" she said butting in

"Yup." I said and gave her my brightest smile
