NO POV
Alarms are going off in the castle once the gang realizes that Nightmare is missing. Error is panicking, wondering if the inventions that Sci was forced to make might've ended up getting used. Then he gets concerned about what may be done to Nightmare by Shattered or worse, someone unknown. What if it ISN'T Shattered responsible?
Horror sits beside him, trying to reassure him.
"Nightmare will be okay. It's Nightmare after all. He's strong enough to keep Fate from you, I am sure he will be ok and that we will find him."He says
Error nods, appreciating his reassurance. Then he goes to the antivoid to start searching the multiverse for him.
Meanwhile, NM's POV
I groan as I wake up, finding myself chained and in my passive form. Not only that but the chains glow a pulsating dirty yellow color, sending shocks of memories and thoughts into the front of my mind. I frown as this becomes a painful process to wake up to. I shake my head, then hear footsteps coming closer. I hear Shattered chuckle, and my poor mood only worsens.
"You really made a mistake accepting those bracelets. Sure, you stopped wearing them, but they gave me entry to the castle and made you easy to capture. Oh and don't think of help coming or freeing yourself. These chains block your strength or possibility for detection, so you aren't going anywhere. The more negativity you use, the more it will be twisted against you."He says
This is not the way that I wanted to wake up.
"Now if you don't mind, I will go for Error's soul and alliance now that you are out of the way, and that the shitty gang will crumble without you. I will quickly rise as the better option for him to ally himself with. Enjoy your broken dreams!"He says smugly, teleporting away
I feel the chains continue to pump the thoughts and memories that I shoved away right to the front of my mind again. I could feel myself start to freak out, my soul pounding quicker. But then I pause, shutting my eyes and taking deep breaths.
Focus Nightmare. You can handle this. You're the king of negativity, you can handle some intrusive thoughts. Just breathe and follow the steps taught to Dust and Horror when having flashbacks..Imagine happier things...You are not here. Right...I am in my home with Error cuddling me...My tentacles are around him as he makes another puppet..I hear his laugh, can see his smile..Horror brings something freshly cooked into the room and has Dust taste-test it with Cross...It smells delicious...Who the hell knows what chaos Killer is causing until he makes some noise..Paps sits on the floor working on puzzles while listening to Perl purring in his lap...Yes...I see it now...
I don't know how long I am stuck down here but I couldn't resist smiling as I calm myself down, taking slow breaths as I imagine being home with my family.
THUD! SLAM!
"StAY aWaY yOu fReAk! I hAvE bEtTeR tHiNgS tO dO tHaN tO sEe yOuR uGlY fAcE!"I hear Error snap from upstairs
Then I hear a portal shut. I open my eyes, glancing at the ceiling as I hear footsteps thump across it. I must be in a basement then...
"He still holds onto you."Shattered groans as he stumbles down the steps into my sight
I chuckle, shaking my head.
"What do you expect? My Glitchy is loyal."I say proudly
"Maybe he will change his mind if I show him what happens to the pathetic waste that he remains loyal to."He says, stepping closer
I notice his limp and chuckle even more.
"You sure you can handle that? You seem to have gotten another ass whooping for one day."I say
