'Huh..?'

Did you hear that right..?

Akuto just said he loved you, right?

Your eyes widened slightly, but before he could see your embarrassed face, you looked down at the ground.

Slowly taking your hand away from his, you got up and glanced outside the window.

You were in the castle's hallways again, but luckily, wherever you were in the castle, there were only a few sources of light here and there.

Holding out your hand for Akuto to take, Akuto hesitantly took your hand. He was disappointed that you didn't return his love confession, but to be honest, you didn't reject him. You were just embarrassed and shocked at the moment.

It all felt like you were still dreaming, so you wanted to reply when you felt that you were living and breathing in reality again. To be honest, you were living in denial.

Getting up from the floor, Akuto looked outside the window along with you. So you were both back at square one, huh?.

"We should get out of here quickly before Arthur comes back."

Akuto only nodded. He was caught up in his own thoughts, so he probably didn't hear what you said.

There was one thing he noticed, though. You still haven't let go of his hand.

He thought that maybe you were showing some sort of affection, but in reality, you were just leading him around the halls.

You knew he daydreamed a lot, so you didn't want to accidently leave him behind.

Even though you grew up in this castle, you were embarrassed to say that you didn't know the whole place that well. You usually went to the same places when you had the freedom.

If you did walk in different places of the castle, you were usually escorted by a guard or a butler, but right now, it was different. You had no idea where you were.

After scanning the halls for any signs of guards, you eventually started recognizing where you were. The ugly paintings on the walls just made you recognize everything.

One moment you were in the forest, and the next you were in front of Addalyn’s room, which previously belonged to you.

Without hesitation, you opened the door. It was dark, so you had to light some candles. Looking around the room, it wasn't all that impressive. It was quite simple.

The bedsheets, the walls, the decor. Everything was a teal color. You knew Addalyn loved the color, but not this much.

Looking through her drawers, you wanted to see if you could find any of your old stuff. It was mostly papers that you found and other old documents, so you gave up.

Walking over to her vanity, you looked through the tiny drawers. There wasn't much in it. Just a little bit of makeup and accessories.

You closed it and let out a sigh. The only place where you could find her stuff would either be under her bed or in her closet.

Believe it or not, there really wasn't much in her room. There was rarely any form of storage, just a bunch of tacky decor.
