"ThAt bAsTaRd..."I mumble, listening to Perl weakly purr as I bandage him
Nightmare takes him from me, healing him with magic. Then he returns Perl to me, who was too tired to really move. I pet his head as he purrs.
"ThAnK yOu, nIghTmArE."I say
"No problem. Are you hurt? What did he do?"He asks
"JuSt cReEpEd mE oUt aNd oFfErEd tO tEaM uP, wHiCh I rEjEcTeD. I aM oK."I say
"He was that bad at making an offer?"He asks

He checks his phone.
"I have to get back to those boneheads and then have some recruits to find. We will be back soon, Glitchy."He says

He tensed up, hiding his face.

I glance at the empty sink and smile proudly. I glance at Perl and carry him to his living room bed. Yes that's right, he has multiple beds around here so he can rest anywhere. Nightmare made them himself. I smile at the thought as he curls up in bed. Then it hits me that he gave me a nickname. I feel my face burn as it sinks in.
Is this a friend thing? None of my other friends give me nicknames....Or if they do, it isn't so affectionate...Did he mean it? Or was it a sip-up? A mistake? Why am I so concerned? It's so minor...Isn't it?
Then my phone starts ringing. I see that it's a call from 404.
"HeY 404, wHaT's uP?"I ask
"HeY ErRoR. ThErE's sOmEoNe I wAnT yOu To mEeT. I tHinK yOu wiLl liKe hIm."He says
"UmM, I aM nOt sUrE 404. A lOt hAs hApPeNeD aNd I Am sTiLl rEcOvErInG."I say

"OkAy."I say

I nod, going through the portal and it shuts behind me. He smiles at me. Then another skeleton steps up beside him.

I take in his appearance as well. He has grey bones and white teeth. His eyes glow a bright white in blue eye holes as buffering signs load in the center repeatedly. He wears a grey scarf with blue clothes underneath.

"WeLp! YoU tWo hAve fUn iN thE cAfE!"404 says before teleporting away

He blinks and a paper prints out of his mouth. He shakes the polaroid loose and then hands it to me to examine. I see that my body was a blur in the image with a strange glow behind me.
"Of course it isn't as clear as now but I like to take memos of these little moments. An impression of reality can be beautiful before it loads in completely. So, you're ace as well?"He asks
I nod.
"I hear you know sign language too."He says
"YeS, My bRoThEr iS dEaF sO I leArNeD iT."I say
"That's cool! You're multitalented! Could you show me?"He says
"LeT's gO iNsIdE aNd cHaT."I say
He nods and we walk into the cafe.

I smile as we sit at a table together, starting to chat away on various interests.
