Marina Vettle

I woke up, feeling Giovanni's arm around my waist, hugging me close to his body. I lifted my head off of his chest, and looked around. I felt the smile instantly coming back to my face, remembering yesterday's night.

I looked down, and saw Giovanni peacefully sleeping, so I tried praying his arm carefully off my body, trying not to wake him up. I sat up, and as I started getting off the bed, two hands grabbed my waist, pulling me back on the bed.

"Where are you going?" Gio asked, in his sleepy deep voice. He laid his head on my shoulder. I turned my head around, and kissed the top of his head.

"I'm going to the bathroom. You go back to sleep." I said, pushing his chest gently back onto the bed. I picked up a pillow, and wrapped his arms around it. He hummed, hugging it tightly, going back to sleep.

Giovanni's t-shirt fell to my knees, as I walked inside of the bathroom. I turned on the shower, and as I waited for it to heat up, I brushed my hair and teeth. I took off the t-shirt, and walked inside of the shower. While I was getting my hair wet, I felt a presence in front of me. I opened my eyes, and saw a toned muscular chest right in front of my face. I looked up, and saw his beautiful, tired face.

"It wasn't very nice of you, leaving me there all alone in the bed, Tesoro." He mumbled, getting under the water. "I almost had a heart attack. You can't leave me like that in the wild." He sighed dramatically. "Good morning." He finally said, bedding down, pecking my lips. "How are you feeling?" He asked, knowing the answer.

"Super happy." I smiled.

He nodded, looking down on me. When we finished showering, we walked out, and I did some simple morning facial routine, which I started doing because of Giovanni, and it consisted of washing my face, and applying some hydrating morning cream, and later I would apply sunscreen, right before leaving the house.

I walked out, and grabbed a pair of shorts and one of Giovanni's t-shirts. Giovanni was waiting for me, sitting on the bed. We walked down the magnificent house, and as we were about to walk in the kitchen, the doorbell rang. I jumped a little, running to open the door, which revealed them.

Shock cursed through my body. I couldn't move. I couldn't make a word out of my mouth. I was shaking. I still couldn't believe what I was seeing. Who I was seeing. My hands started shaking right before my whole body did. I felt Giovanni's hand grabbing mine, knowing how calming his presence was to me.

"Marina." She cried.

"Oma?" I cried, feeling like I was shaking. I let out a sob, before I ran towards her. I hugged her smaller frame. She squeezed me hard, as she cried as well.

"You look so beautiful and grown up." She cried, as she pulled away from the hug.

"Opa." I smiled, pulling my grandfather into a hug. Feeling his warm arms around me, which I missed since I moved to the United States. "I missed you." I whispered against his shoulder. I kept on crying, but happy tears.

I looked up and saw my little sister, Katharina, who was twelve years old now, my baby brothers, Vinzenz and Ludwig, who were twins and were ten at the moment, but then I saw a baby face who I didn't recognise. She looked exactly like me.

"Hallo." I smiled. My sister bursted into tears, and ran towards me, making me stable back, as she was as tall as me now. "Hi," I smiled, hugging my baby sister who I thought I would never see again. "I missed you so much." I kissed her head. And as we pulled away, the twins tackled me, making the four of us fall. I laughed, hugging both of them. "You all are so big." I wiped my tears.
