Anabia
It had been a busy first month of the twins, and before I knew it, the forty days were complete.
To be honest, Rehan had been busy during most of this time, as he helped Yasin look for student jobs, while also focusing on his own work. I'd barely spent time with him. When he came around to see the twins, I usually used the time to either sleep or to get some chores done, because Mama often got exhausted herself now.
On the completion of these forty days, my parents-in-law called us over for dinner, requesting to dress up a little traditionally.
I wore a suit with a dark navy blue kameez with silver embroidery, which was heavier at the bottom of the shirt. This was matched with a shalwar that was lighter shade of dark blue. The dupatta was plum-coloured with a silver border and a heavy silver work done at each end. Plum tassels hung from the ends of the dupatta, and I paired the look with white-silver high heel sandals.
My beloved daughters wore almost matching outfits, but in different colours. The floral designs on the dresses were a little different, but the overall look was the same. The dresses were sleeveless, with lace running down from each shoulder towards the midriff. The bodice was plain, but the skirt had gorgeous floral patterns in the colour of each respective dress. A giant bow was placed in the centre of the dress. The outfits had matching headbands. Hooriya wore a light pink colour, while Haya was wearing the red dress.
