CHAPTER TWENTY
until everything ends
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

"Good morning, Dr. Cerilla." Some of the nurses greeted me, in which I reciprocated with a smile.

That kidnapping thing is just a bait. Never did I want to coerce Novan.

I don't do kidnappings, of course!

Dr. Selene revoked my suspension after our talk as well.

Just like always, I never paid any attention. Isang linggo na simula nang kumalat 'yun pero ngayon lang ako tuluyang bumalik dito bilang isang psychiatric assistant - the only possible position free in this branch of IMI.

I took a deep breath, my eyes roamed around the halkway before it went towards the room number of Novan; 520.

I just peeked on the window to look at Novan's empty room.

Well, Dr. Selene said that he's her son, it will make sense that he's getting extra care here. What bewildered me is the fact that she's his mother. I mean, how could that be? They don't even look like each other. Ni magkaiba sila ng apelyido. How is Vitre and Canzar any similar?

"We only have five sessions a day. We can't afford to dilly-dally."

That's when my eyes momentarily dropped to her pin.

Freya Solomon, LPC.

I smiled then, "Solace Cerilla, Novan's previous psychotherapist."

"Freya Solomon, his current clinical counselor. I'm not diagnosing him, by the way. I just based treatments regarding his previous diagnosis." She smiled back, her cheeks bones defined more at the slight movement of her lips.

"I was the one assigned as your psychiatric assistant, by the way," Paalam ko bago nilahad ang clipboard kung sa'n ang sulat ni Dr. Selene, "It was an abrupt decision. Do you mind?"

She glanced at the clipboard, "I'm sure I heard that you're under suspension?"

"Dr. Canzar revoked it. I'm currently situated in the area as a psychiatric assistant, particularly for Antonov."

I watched her movements, wary of the fact that she is Novan's ex-fiance.

I secretly gritted my teeth. Somehow, the idea of them almost marrying each other is irking me.
