A strange Love [Bowuigi Fanfiction]

Chapter 8: Suitor

Luigi freshed up and waited in his room for him to be escorted to the dining room, which he soon was. Two guards lead him through the beautifully decorated halls and to two big doors. Their design was exquisite, with many swirls and intricate loops. The two guards opened the doors and bowed to Bowser and the koopaling children. The dining room was a huge table, with many placements in the middle. There were pictures of banquets, balls, and parties held in the room before from past generations on the walls, and in the center of the room was a big black and red chandelier, unlike any other. The koopalings were at the end of the table with Bowser in the king's spot, at the very end. They sat Luigi between Junior and Bowser before they left, leaving the koopas and green plumber alone.

 Bowser then turned his attention to Luigi, “I know this is a had time for you, but thank you for joining us, I as feel its best you keep your mind away from it” His voice had so much sympathy, Luigi couldn’t even recognize him but he just smiled and nodded at Bowser. As Kamek flew in he glared daggers at Luigi and sat on the other side of Bowser, once everyone was settled, servants came out and served dinner.

“Oh! Mamma Mia! My favorite! Spaghetti!” Luigi said with joy, as the koopalings dug in and Bowser thanked the servants.

Bowser couldn't help but chuckle at Luigi’s joy which made Luigi blush a tad from embarrassment. “I’m glad you like tonight's dinner, this is a recipe from my father Senior Morton koopa” 

Luigi listened as he took his first bite of the spaghetti, his face beaming with joy afterwards. “He must a have been a really good a cook then.”

“Uh, I’m not sure, but this is a good recipe” Bowser continued on, sounding a  bit ashamed, though it soon went away after he looked at his children, enjoying themselves. “Now! Children! I want to hear all about your days!” Bowser announced, the children began talking over each other and Kamek tried to get them in order. Bowser looked over at Luigi eating and smiling at the children, and his face would begin to heat up a bit but he ignored it. The children then began to tell their day one at a time. Having their own intrestings events to happen to them each. Luigi felt so relaxed while listening to the koopalings and eating dinner. Then it happened again, that weird feeling like.. He was home. But he wasn’t and he knew that so like before, he ignored it. As the servants took the empty plates from everyone, Bowser had a napkin and was wiping Junior’s mouth for him before he ran off. Right before Luigi was about to be escorted out of the dining room and to his room Bowser stopped them. 

“Here, I’ll walk you back if you don’t mind.” Luigi smiled at Bowser once again, and nodded. The two ventured off into the halls and talked about the koopalings and then somehow they ended up talking about their lives. 

“Oh, that reminds me of when Mario and I were a kids. He actually hates mushrooms, and always gave them a to me. I remember my mama tried to force him to eat them one time, he threw them up afterwards.” Bowser chuckled at this story and couldn’t help but keep smiling as he listened and watched Luigi talk. “I must a say Bowser.. You're a lot nicer and sweeter than people depict you as..” Bowser felt his face heat up and his heart beat faster. “I’m glad I’m getting to know this side of you.” Luigi continued on as they arrived at Luigi’s room. 

“Thank you.. Luigi.. I greatly appreciate what you said..” Bowser said softly, “I would like you to keep having dinner with me and my family, I and the children had a wonderful time.” Luigi couldn’t help but blush a bit when Bowser said he enjoyed his company and nodded to Bowser. “Great, sleep well, Luigi, '' Bowser said before walking away, leaving Luigi alone.

“Good night Bowser..” Could be heard before the green mario brother went into his room.

Bowser was not heading to bed yet, in fact he needed to talk to someone. Bowser walked through the halls and pushed open some doors to the library, knowing he would find who he needed… Kamek. 

“Kamek.. We need to talk” Bowser said, startling Kamek a tad.

“Yes, sire? What is it you need?” Kamek said before turning around and floating down to Bowser.

“It’s uh.. It’s about Peach.. You know how you said a while ago I should give up on Peach and perhaps find someone more suitable?” Bowser’s voice grew quieter and quieter, he became embarrassed.

“Yes sire, I do remember. I do not understand though.” Kamek sensed the distress Bowser was in and floated closer to Bowser and put his hand on his shoulder. “You can tell me, I will not judge or be angry.” 

“Mhm.. I think I’m going to go with that advice.. I think I found a better suitor, but I’m not exactly sure though..” Bowser said, as he scratched the back of his neck and looked away from Kamek.

“Oh! Bowser! Your kingliness, I am very happy for you!” Kamek yelled, but not too loud, with excitement. “Who is the suitor?” Kamek then asked. 

Bowser was quiet and gulped, he looked at Kamek and responded. “Mario’s brother… Luigi..”
