Snape Pov.

As I looked around the room, memories of Y/n flooded my mind. She was always so full of life and energy, and it was hard to imagine a world without her. Even though I was angry at James and Lily for not protecting her, I knew that Y/n had made her own choices. She was always brave, even if it meant sacrificing herself for others.

I remembered the day we were sorted into different houses, and how disappointed we both were that we wouldn't be in the same one. But, as fate would have it, that event led to us becoming great friends with the boys who called themselves the Marauders. We had shared so many good times together, even if they were short-lived.

Thinking back on that one detention we had all been put in, I couldn't help but chuckle. It was y/n who had dragged me into that mess, but in the end, we had all become closer because of it. And that time we got caught sneaking out at night, it was y/n who had taken the blame for us. She was always willing to take the fall for the rest of us.

The memories were bitter-sweet, and I couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness as I thought about how quickly everything had changed. But I knew that Y/n would want us to keep living our lives to the fullest, to cherish every moment and every memory. And so, I made a promise to myself to do just that, in honor of my Y/n.

As I heard a knock on the door, my gaze shifted towards it. "Professor, I'm here for my five-hour detention," Y/n grumbled as she entered. Despite her frown, I couldn't help but smile at the sight of her. "Please have a seat, Y/n," I instructed her while placing some snacks on the table. "Feel free to eat," I added as I sat across from her.

As I watched Y/n munch on the cookies, I was struck by how much she reminded me of a young troublemaker. Chuckling to myself,

"So, Professor Snape, what are we going to do during the five-hour detention?"

She tilted her head, cookies still in hand, and replied, "Don't call me Snape, y/n. Sev will do." I was intrigued to see her reaction when I mentioned my name.

"Sev? Sev?" she repeated my name, seemingly lost in thought. Suddenly, she stood up and slammed her hand onto the desk. "You're Sev? From Diagon Alley!"

I was taken aback. "Pardon?" I said, confused.

"You don't remember? I was there, along with four other boys who kept teasing me," she huffed.

"Now, now, Ms. Y/n, let's not jump to conclusions," I replied, trying to keep my cool. Dumbledore had warned me to keep an eye on her memory, but this was beyond belief.

Y/n went on to share her experience at Hogwarts. However, I found myself drifting away and lost in my own thoughts.

"You don't understand, James," Y/n said

"Then help me understand. What's going on? Why are you scared?" James asked

"We're your friends. Please, tell us what's going on." Lupin said

"I've been reincarnated. This is my second life." Y/n appeared to be worried as she spoke.
