It was Monday morning. Stan could hear his mom yelling from downstairs. He didn't want to get out of his bed. He wanted to stay under the covers and hide. He couldn't handle another day at school. It wasn't necessarily the school that stressed him out, nor the homework.

It was a certain two people that he adored. His best friend and his girlfriend.

Five months ago Kyle had confessed to Stan that he liked him. The news got out to Wendy which led to some conflict between the two. So now at school it's just a war between them to get Stan's attention. The raven haired boy had tried to divide his time equally between the two but no matter how hard he tried someone's feelings would always end up being hurt.

What hurt Stan even more was that during all of this he was fighting a battle within himself. After a while, Stan had grown to like Kyle in the same way, but he still liked Wendy at the same time. It created a wave of frustration and confusion to boil inside him. It was hard for him to take care of their problem while trying to solve his own. It caused too much stress for the poor boy to the point he tried to avoid both of them. Which didn't work in the end.

"Stanly! Get down here!" His mom called again. The raven haired groaned as he clutched the covers a little tighter. He didn't want to leave the safety of his bed. He didn't want to see Kyle or Wendy. He wanted a break.

The snow crunched under Stans feet with each step he took. The crunch filled him with anxiety as he reached closer and closer to the bus stop. He had tried to pretend he was sick, but his mom saw right through it. And when he begged for her to let him stay home she heartlessly sent him away to get ready. Sometimes he wishes his mom wouldn't care so much.

Stan lifted his head from the ground. He could see the bus stop, there stood three figures which he knew were his friends. He could see Kyle and Cartman arguing from afar, nothing out of the usual. Stan sighed as he eventually reached the stop and stood by Kyle. He didn't bother to get the red heads attention or to even stop their bickering. He just hoped that he wouldn't notice him. But much to Stan's dismay, Cartman got his attention for him. "Hello Stan. Do you think you could help pull the stick out of your boyfriends ass?" Cartman asked.

"Fuck off, Cartman!" Stan replied. He truly was mad at Cartman for announcing his presence. But even so, he couldn't help but notice his heart skip a beat at the word "boyfriend". No one knew that Stan liked Kyle back, not even Kyle knew. So Stan knew that Eric was just trying to be a dick, but that doesn't mean that it still didn't make Stan a little flustered. "Just ignore him Kyle. He's just being a dick like usual." Stan said as he kept his gaze forward and away from the boy next to him. Kyle sighed, "trust me. I try." Kyle turned to look at Stan with a smile.

"Well anyways, how did you sleep?" The ginger asked. Stan shrugged as he kicked at the snow. "It was okay I guess." He replied. "Well that's good." Kyle said back as he turned away from Stan and looked forward. An awkward silence then engulfed them as they were left to listen to Kenny and Cartman's conversation. Stan didn't mind this, in fact he much more preferred it. He felt bad leaving Wendy out despite the fact that this was something he did on his daily routine. He just couldn't help but feel like he was betraying her.
