Chapter 2: Stuck Here

The frail green plumber woke up in a cage, next to a yelling and angry princess. “Oh you! Pompous self center giant Koopa! Ugh!” Peach seemed to be very annoyed, Luigi couldn’t blame her though, getting kidnapped at least every two months can get annoying. “Oh quiet! You're lucky I’m being nice and letting greenie have the room next to yours! I could just throw him in the dungeons.” Bowser's rough and deep voice roared back at Peach before walking back to the steering wheel where Kamek would be driving. “P-Princess?” Luigi stuttered, still afraid of what was happening. “Oh! Luigi! You're awake! I’m so glad you're okay! You’ve been out for almost the entire day!” Peach exclaimed worriedly while checking Luigi’s temperature and for any wounds. “Ah.. I’m a okay, where's Polterpup?” Luigi asked softly, looking around a bit. “Look down Luigi '' Peach smiled lightly as Luigi looked down at his lap. Polterpup had been laying in his lap sleeping. “When they got him out of the vacuum, he was fighting back a lot, but once he saw you he got so worried and laid in your lap” Peach explained while petting Polterpup, “Oh, I a see. Hehehe my ghostly knight in shining armor.” Luigi laughed lightly and scratched behind Polterpup’s ear. About an hour or two later, the floating castle-like ship would have returned back to the dark lands and landed. The main castle had to be about 3 times as big as the floating one they were in. Suddenly two guards knocked on the cage bars, getting the attention of Peach, Luigi, and Polterpup. One more serious and the other with a more timid look. The more serious one spoke, “When we lead you to your rooms, you better keep that ghost under control, King Bowser doesn't want any messes in the castle made by your mutt.” He stated. Before opening up the cage’s door. He then tied Luigi and the princess’s hands up, all while being more rough with Luigi. Peach noticed this and piped up “Don’t be so rough with him koopa!” The guard then looked at Peach with a stern look “That's general Vinix to you princess..” He said with a  low tone before grabbing the rope that was tied to Peach’s hand and pulling her out of the ship and into the castle. The smaller guard hastily grabbed Luigi’s rope before jumping back when Polterpup barked at him then proceeding to growl and show his teeth. “Polterpup, down boy” Luigi patted Polterpup’s head to calm him despite his hands being tied together. The smaller guard shakenly took Luigi’s rope and followed the general, close behind. Inside the castle was just as beautiful as he remembered. Unlike the Mushroom kingdom, the Darkland’s castle had a strong dark theme, with beautiful reds, purples, and black.Unlike the rumors there were no lava pools in his castle, it was clean, and surprisingly well lit. The architecture made the castle even more good looking as they chose such intrigue and beautiful designs. Instead of statues of what seemed to be bowser, there had been pictures of past kings and queens, and then the family photo of the past generations. At the very end of the hall was signified as the current generation. A picture of bowser around the toddler age, all alone, without the past king and or queen, and then a picture of bowser holding his son Junior, surrounded by the koopalings. They seemed so happy, Ludwig told him while pretending to be Peach that traditionally it's only the blood related who are in the photos but Bowser wouldn't allow them to take the picture unless he has his adopted children in it, it was so sweet.

They suddenly came to a stop, right as they arrived at the last picture, on the left side of the hall was a door with a frame on it with Peach’s name. On the right was just a regular door like all the other ones in the castle.

“Luigi! Mario will come soon! Stay safe and don’t trust anyone!” Peach said as she entered her room before being locked in. The green mario brother was then shoved into his room along with Polterpup, he began to bark at the guards before the door was slammed shut and locked. Luigi got up rubbing his neck and examined the room. It had dark colored themes just like the castle, but this room had dark green schemes, probably just a coincidence he thought. The room had a night stand, a desk with paper, pencils,and books in it, a closet, and then finally a small cozy bathroom, supplied with all the bathroom items you could need. Luigi decided to walk to the bed and sit down on it, just as comfy as he thought. He lowered his head down a bit and tears began to form in his eyes and fall down his cheeks. Why did he have to be so weak, he thought. Polterpup noticed his change in mood and jumped up onto his lap and snuggled into him, whimpering. Luigi couldn’t stop though, he began to cry into his hands, he hated this so much. Sure he was cozy in the room but he wanted to go home, he wanted everything to just go back to normal. No more kidnapping, no more adventures, no more anything! “Mamma Mia.. What brought me here?.. It was only a day or two ago that I was a home” And here he was, back to where he had left off, crying on the bed.
