Sonic's POV
I sat in bed trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in until a loud knock disturbed me.
"Ugh, cominggg." I yelled, while walking downstairs sleepily.
I opened the door and saw Shadow standing there, his eyes were stained with tears and red underneath.
"Can I stay here for the night, please?" Shadow blurted.
"U-um, sure. What's wrong?" I asked.
Suddenly Shadow's eyes began to flood with tears.
"No, no. I'm sorry, don't cry!" I said pulling him in for a hug.
Shadow pushed me away, and wiped his tears.
"Of course you can stay" I answered before leading him upstairs to a spare bedroom. Shadow forced a smile,
"Thanks." He said
"It's fine" I replied "Make yourself at home and stay as long as you want."
I walked away, leaving Shadow alone. He seemed really upset and I couldn't stop wondering why but I shook that idea away before getting myself ready for sleep.
Shadow's POV
I sat on Sonic's bed that he offered me and stared at the wall, damn that Eggman I thought. I decided to throw my stuff on the floor and set it up tomorrow, I don't see myself going back home any time soon, anyway. I decided to lay down in bed and place the quilt over myself before realizing I'm still wearing my clothes, I don't care, though. I'll get changed tomorrow.
