The apartment was so silent, that anyone could hear a pin drop, which sent shivers down changbin's spine.

He hated these lonely hours at home, you'd think that with his job he'd be able to stay sane with what he saw on a daily basis, but no, that wasn't the case for changbin, with every case he took over, he felt his soul crippling away into the darkness.

Recently he felt that even more with Jigsaw still on the loose, just today they had discovered a new body, but this time no puzzle piece was left, which threw off the detective's theories even more. It wasn't getting easier, he felt like the case was getting harder, and soon those victims will be shut off in the cold case files if they didn't catch Jigsaw soon.

"Hey changbin, what's got you so lost in thought?" Minho said as he carried two steaming hot cups of chamomile tea towards the couch.

Changbin then lifted his head towards the older, "Minho, I don't know if we could ever solve this case, Jigsaw is my biggest challenge yet. I've dealt with many psycho killers before, but this one is so different from the others that I don't know if we could ever catch him."

Minho then sat next to changbin as he handed him the cup of tea, "You know, ever since I first started working at the police station, I never once heard you say that a case was too difficult to solve, are you seriously giving up this quickly?"

Changbin sighed, minho was right, he couldn't let those victims and their families suffer any longer, he had to catch Jigsaw, he just wished there could be a major break in the case that could lead them to the killer and finally put an end to the terror Jigsaw had caused for so long.

"Minho, we need to think the whole case differently, we need to think exactly like the killer if we're ever going to catch him, the only clue we have so far is the puzzle pieces, but I feel like there were more clues we've missed."

Minho then got up and grabbed the case file for Jigsaw, "His victimology is all over the place, he just kills at random, there's no specific trait about these victims that could connect them with each other." Changbin nodded his head, these victims had no similarities with each other, usually serial killers chased after specific victims, but there was nothing that connected these victims with each other.

Minho then looked over the recently added notes from the FBI's behavioral unit that had joined them recently and noticed something interesting they wrote down.

"Hey changbin look at this, the FBI added new notes on the victimology of Jigsaw's victims, and it seems like there's a similarity between them after all."

Changbin then grabbed the folder from minho and glanced at the new notes,

-The victimology of Jigsaw is difficult to understand, but it seems like there is one factor that connects these victims to each other, they're loners. All of the recent victims lived alone and seemed to be loners in society, meaning no one would bat an eye if they were to go missing all of a sudden. From this we theorize that Jigsaw has to stalk his victims before murdering them, he probably looks for loners in a day-to-day basis, and strikes when its nightfall. One report showed up from a previous victim, their friend had told us the victim had called a week before their murder to tell their friend that they felt like someone was following them everywhere they went, the friend of the victim told us that the victim felt like someone was watching their every move, as if someone was in their home stalking their every move. The friend told the victim that it was probably nothing, that they were just stressed out over work. But a week later the victim's body was found face down at RiverCreek Lake.

This was all new information which got changbin starting to think about the obvious clues he could have missed, he really needed to be open minded and handle this case differently than any case he's ever done before.

"See changbin, we have some sort of break in this case. You need to realize that you aren't alone, there are people out there willing to help you catch this killer, Jigsaw is only human, and human beings are susceptible to making mistakes, and I guarantee you, he'll make a mistake soon enough."

Changbin smiled at the older, minho was right, he wasn't alone, he had a whole team of intelligent individuals working together to catch the killer.

"Minho, I don't know what I'd do without you."

Minho smiled, "It's the same for me changbin, I wouldn't have gotten this far without your help, and when we catch this killer, I promise to take you on vacation, somewhere nice with white sandy beaches and clear blue oceans."

Changbin laughed, "You better not go back on your word, I'm desperate for some sunshine and a pina colada by the beach."

"I promise, now let's get some rest, tomorrows Friday and you know Fridays never turn out well for us."

Changbin agreed, Fridays were the worst days of the week for homicide detectives, it seemed to be a perfect day for psycho killers to murder innocent people that just want to let loose from the stressful week they've endured.

And tomorrow will be the most eventful Friday the detective has ever seen.
