Cadet Pov:

Boom? A bang? Crush? Crank!?

Let me sleep! I keep hearing these stupid noises everytime I try to calm myself down...!

At this point it's literally annoying! And sometimes it gets scary when it happens out of nowhere... I've recently started hearing the sounds... I don't know what they are, but everytime they happen I start to feel a little bit light headed-

It straight up sounds like a full on battlefield, which makes it annoying...

Should I tell the others yet? Yes, No, Maybe?

-sigh- At this point I'm tired and weak...

Maybe I should take a walk... Wait- why is like almost nobody here? Eh, I'm sure they'll be back once I arrive back.

And outside I go!

At least it's morning now, nothing like some good old morning air!

Third Person Pov:

As Cadet continued on to the great outdoors she noticed her very own companion awkwardly standing in front of her... Lane.

The Wolf sort of gave an awkward wave at him... 'cuz y'know the awkward tension between the two after a failed plan by Lane- but nonetheless Cadet just said hi and walked away.

What was she supposed to do? Besides, it's her childhood friend, she has to forgive him at SOME point. Because if she doesn't, then their friendship is practically over.

BUT BESIDES THAT.

Imagine being in romantic trouble? Couldn't be- Oh wait....

Cut to Tails

We see him on his bed covered up by his blanket, seems as if he's still a bit shaken from the previous night. It also seems as if he fluffed up his twin tails to look like it's just one. It's just something he sometimes does to be a bit more secure of himself, y'know?

The fox looked a bit sad... reasonably.

I mean what really is there for the little fox to be happy about? Thing's haven't exactly been going his way...

He's Tails, he'll get through it, right? Isn't he a hero?

Or is he just a coward...

Y/n Pov:

I woke up to Sonic lightly tapping me to get up.

Y/n: "...I- I'm... up."

Sonic just passed him a worried look and then spoke

Sonic: "You alright?"

Y/n: "Y-yeah- I think so..."

Sonic: "So you ready to head back home?"

I nodded my head as in a "yes" to him

Sonic: "Alright then let's go, yeah.?"

Sonic and I both got out the little underground dirt room and silently walked back to our house

Sonic: "So what exactly happened yesterday?"

I just shrugged my shoulders due to not knowing

Sonic: "You sure you weren't just having a nightmare?"

Y/n: "I'm sure-..."

Sonic: "Hmm."

Sonic: "How about a normal speed race?"

Y/n: "What do you mean?"

Sonic: "Just you and I running at a normal pace, don't worry I won't use my super speed! I promise!" As he gave you a somewhat enthusiastic thumbs up
