"GO GABRIEL" I yelled at Gabriel before he score the final point
"He is really good" Luna said
"I know right" I said with a big a smile on my face
"GO NUMBER 5" Everyone were cheering for him and I was so happy because with this performance he was totally going to get the scholarship he wanted

Before the Gabriel shoot the ball and the timer goes to 0 I heard the coach yelling
"STOP THE GAME" "CALL AN AMBULANCE IMMEDIATELY" the coach yelled
And then I realized
Gabriel was down on the floor and his knee and ankle were bleeding
"GABRIEL" I yelled and run down the stairs so I can get inside the field
I reach at the door that was separating the crowd from the teams and the field
"LET ME IN PLEASE" I yelled to the garde
"Sorry we can't let you in" he said and pushed me away
"Please please, I need to see him" I said and pushed back

I could see Gabriel laying on the grass and screaming from pain
A doctor was next to him and did everything he could until the ambulance comes
I could see him crying from pain and no one cared from him
The ambulance finally came and the garde was forced to open the doors so I entered the field with the doctors
I run to his direction and when I reached him I knee down next to his face
"Amelia I'm scared" he said crying and touched my hand
"It's going to be fine okey" I said and took his helmet off while crying
"Everything is going to be fine" "I'm here, I'm not going to leave you" I said and kissing his forehead

The doctors from the ambulance came and took Gabriel
"Can I come with him" I asked
"Sorry only family members allowed" he said and closed the doors from the ambulance
"We have to go" I said to Luna that followed me all this time
"Where and how?" "We don't have a car yet" she said
"You will see" I said and called Alex
Around 15m later Alex parked in front of us
"Come in" he yelled and we entered the car
"Where are we going" he asked
"National Hospital of Connecticut" I said

During the ride I was too anxious to talk
He reached the hospital and I run out of the car and Alex yelled "Good Luck" and left
"Now what" Luna asked confused
"We have to find his room" I said at her
We entered the hospital and got to the main helping office
"How can I help you" the Lady asked
"We are looking for Gabriel Arela" I said
"Yes of course" "He just came in for surgery" "And I would like you information from you" she said and typed something in her computer
"Anything" I said knowingly what was coming next
"Your name and if you are a family member" she said and looked at me straight in the eyes
Before I could even speak Luna spoke
"She is not but I am" "Im his cousin and she is his girlfriend" she said and took a big breath and she continued
"We know that we are not really count as family members but please let us see him" Luna said with a sad expression on her face
"Yes...don't you see how tired we are from looking for him and running to find to which hospital he is" I said and started fake crying

"Okey fine" "Just let me call his parents to confirm all this things" she said and called Gabriel's mother
"We should join mafia" Luna whispered
"Obviously" I said and looked at her
Moments later Gabriel's mother miss Blair entered the room crying
"Amelia what are you doing here" She asked and looked at me
"Hello miss Blair, and sorry for bothering you but this girls say that they know your son" "They say that they are his girlfriend and cousin" the Lady said
Then I looked at miss Blair and mouthed her "Agree with her please"
"Yes of course they are" she said looking at me confused
"This girl is Amelia and the other girl is called..-" she said and looked at me
"Luna" I whispered
"LUNA...this is Luna" she said and took a big breath
"Okey fine you can pass" the Lady said
"Thank you so much" we both said

"The doctors said he is going to be fine" "But he will not walk for a month" Miss Blair said and sat to a chair next to a room
"What happened to him?" I asked
"Someone pushed him and twisted his ankle and also caused an inside and outside bleeding on his knee" Miss Blair said and tried to hold back tears
"Don't worry everything is going to be fine" "I will also take care of him while he is at school or any other activities" I said to comfort her even though the only thing I could think of was the screams of fear inside my head
"Thank you Amelia you are so sweet" "Actually Thank you both for caring about him" "No none of his friends had called or message yet" she said and tears left her eyes
One hour later a doctor wake us up and said that we could enter the room to see him

"GABRIEL" His mother said when she entered the room
"Hey mom" Gabriel said and hugged her
"Hi..."She said and brushed his cheek while crying
"Mom stop you are emberassing" he said with a small laugh
"Hey...." I said and came closer to him
When he saw me his whole face light up and a smile appeared on his face
"We better leave them alone" Luna said and left the room with Miss Blair following her
"I'm so sorry" Gabriel said and touched my hand
"For what?" I asked and dragged the chair from the corner of the room so I can be next to him
"For ruining your birthday" "Birthdays have to be happy and full of celebrations and the only thing you did today was being stressed about me" he said and looked at me
"The fact that you are here with me right now is the best thing that I could ever ask for my birthday" I said and kissed him
"And also I was never a big birthday fan, I just liked the gifts and the huge party" I said with a small

"Thank you for being here for me" He said with a tired voice
"Always" I said smiling at him
