We were all sitting on the roof and catching Bonnie up on everything that had happened. "So the Hedge Army has been getting dark powers from an ancient race known as demons? Is that it?" Bonnie summarised after I told her what had happened. "These demons also created Queen witches as well right?" She asked. "Well their signature is written into your generic code," I told her. "So they have something to do with the Queen Witches but their magic isn't compatible with our multiverse so they couldn't possibly have created Queen witches by themselves" I explained. "Is that how the Army became corrupted?" Leah asked me. "Yes, it appears that way. The demonic magic is wreaking havoc on their bodies. Changing them at a molecular level" I explained my findings. "Who are the demons?" Heather asked me. "That's a long story" I told her. The girls all looked at me to continue. "Very well" I said. "When the multiverse was still forming there were five main species. The Elves represented Harmony and the Dwarves were the representatives of community. Man did they know how to party" I said and gave a laugh. The other girls looked at me to continue. "Then there were the Dragons. They were wise and creative, it was the Dragons that decided to split the multiverse into its two sides. The dark and the light. The Faeries were a technical and scientific species gifted with light magic and so it was decided that we would be the guardians of the light. Which is why the Royal Faeries are immortal. We must always exist, otherwise, the light side of the multiverse would be in chaos" I explained. "So what about the Demons then?" Leah asked. "Well the demons represented rage and vengeance and had incredibly powerful dark magic. So they decided the best thing for them was to be the guardians of the Dark Multiverse. There they were at their most powerful. They weren't all bad. I had friends from all five species including the Demons" I told the girls. "Do you have any theories as to why the Army has Demonic powers?" Sarah asked me. "I do and you're not going to like it" I told her. "Tell us" she said wanting to know my theory. "I believe they are attempting to mutate dark magic so it's compatible with our multiverse. They must know I'm the last Faerie. Which makes our multiverse vulnerable" I explained then had a wave of sadness go over me. "Maybe they even created the illness that killed my people" I suggested feeling horrendous about that possibility. Leah and Heather embraced me in a hug while I broke down into tears.
I walked into the cabin with the girls and Reg was sitting at the table with Ms Lovely filling her in on everything. She looked at me and said, "so it appears we have the very goddess of magic in our company". I sat down in front of her. "Please I'm just Zero" I told her. "Well Miss Zero, do you believe you can cure the members of the Hedge Army you have stored in my cellar?" She asked me. "I can, light magic can cleanse the dark magic but with only one Faerie it's going to take a lot of time and energy. "Can you start with Cornelia?" Reg asked me. I smiled at her request. "Of course. If someone can bring her to me I'll get started" I said. Heather and Reg left to go get bring her to the cabin. Ms Lovely left to go do her duties as camp principal which at the moment mostly consisted of reassuring the other staff and campers that everyone is safe. I sat down on the end of my bed and felt the weight of the world on my shoulders. "Are you alright Zero?" Bonnie asked me noticing my dour mood. "It's hitting me hard knowing there will never be another Faerie" I said falling back onto my made bed. "Are humans incompatible to breed with?" Bonnie asked me. I felt myself go bright red with embarrassment. In this incarnation, I'm a virgin and hadn't even thought about sex with a human before. "Well there are no male Faeries so Faerie reproduction works differently. I don't know if we're compatible but if we were the baby would be completely Faerie. Our magical molecular structure is so pure that it would overwrite any human DNA" I said the old scientist part of me coming out. I quickly glanced at Leah and blushed, looking away at anything but my girlfriend. "Are you a virgin Zero?" Bonnie asked me. "Can we please talk about something else?" I said feeling incredibly embarrassed. I didn't even know how sex worked with my current body. I don't know why I'd reincarnated into a male body. Especially after spending trillions of years being a female Faerie. I had noticed when I'd changed into my Royal Faerie war form that my anatomy had changed back to its original form. So if I were to fully change my form to the Royal Faerie form I'd no longer have this human male anatomy. Not that I could change it. I only ever wanted to be Zero and if I did that people would single me out and treat me differently. So for now I'm stuck in this transgender human form. "So your as old as time but in your current body your a virgin?" Bonnie asked for clarification. "I'm a virgin too you know" Leah told us both looking red in the cheeks. "I've never had a mate before. My mother did which is how I came into existence. Royal Faeries are very selective as to who they choose as their mate" I told Bonnie. "I guess that makes Leah incredibly special" Bonnie said which made me feel even more embarrassed."Please stop," I said closing my eyes from the embarrassment. "How many people do you think she's met in her many years? A million? A billion? And yet she chose you as her first girlfriend. That's pretty darn special" she told Leah. Just them the cabin door swung open and Heatger stepped in, followed by a powerless Cornelia with Reg behind her. "Oh, thank goodness," I said out loud which I'd meant to say in my head. "I'm guessing you were having an awkward conversation. Don't stop on my account" Heather told us after hearing what I'd just said. I ignored her and approached Cornelia. "Old friend I'm sorry for what's happened to you. I should have realised sooner rather than giving up on you completely" I told her. She looked drained from having her powers blocked. "They want you Faerie. They'll get you Faerie. We were just the first wave in their war" she said quietly before losing her strength. We laid her down in Michalo's old bed and I began to irradiate her cells with my white magic. "It's hurting her. Is it meant to hurt her?" Reg asked looking worried. "The demon magic has changed her very genetic make-up over the last nineteen years. Zero is changing it back instantly. That's definitely going to hurt" Leah told her while I concentrated on the contaminated cells. It took me roughly half an hour to finish, in that time Cornelia had passed out from the pain and by the time I did finish I could barely stand. Leah was holding me upright as we watched Cornelia wake up. "Princess is that you?" She said looking up at me. "It's Zero now" I told my good friend. "I'm so sorry Zero. We let promises of power rob us of our humanity. I'm eternally thankful for you saving me" she said getting up and hugging me. "Cornelia this is your kin, Regina" I introduced the two of them. "You two catch up, I'm going to get some fresh air with the girls. As soon as we closed the door behind us Leah and Heather caught me. "That took a lot out of me," I told them. They helped me to the pier. There we sat down and talked. "Zero was right, the Demons want war" Heather said what we were all thinking. "Do we even stand a chance?" Bonnie asked me. "I may be the last Faerie but I have allies. They may help us, I'm just not sure as I haven't seen them in a couple of hundred billion years" I told my coven. "Who are these allies?" Bonnie asked. "The Elves were good friends of mine, I was friends with one of the Dragon tribes and then there were the Neo-Demons" I told them. "What about the Dwarves Leah asked me? "I had friends amongst the Dwarves but they are a stubborn species. They stay out of the squabbles of the other main species" I told her. "The genocide of the Faeries isn't exactly a squabble" Bonnie said. "I can't prove it was the demons. My gut tells me it is but the Dwarves won't accept that" I told her. "So how do you go see the other species?" Heather asked me. "First we deal with the Hedge Army. Then we'll go" I told them. "Wait, did she say we?" Heather asked and I smiled. "We're a coven. We do everything together. Including multidimensional travel" I told the girls. They all looked at me, having not expected that I'd want them to come with me.
