A week had passed since Michalo left. The girls were all relieved that he was gone but I couldn't help but miss him. We'd been doing the usual camp activities that were meant to bring a coven closer together but we didn't need them. We were already as close as sisters. I suppose Reg kept having us do them as it was keeping her distracted from the knowledge that Cornelia was coming for her. Today Reg had us practising basic magic spells and combining them to make our spells stronger. I was sitting out and watching while Reg coached them. We had one witch on lookout at all times. Overnight it was easier since Bonnie was awake during nighttime hours. During the day though we split the task between the four of us. Now was my shift. I just had to make sure no one would sneak up on us while we were distracted. Things felt so much better now. I wasn't having random visions since waking up from the coma and I wasn't just randomly developing powers anymore. I had created Spirits to live in the plants and buildings. They would alert me at any time when a corrupted witch entered the camp. The other girls didn't know about them though. I thought it might freak them out if they knew I could create powerful magical life. So while I pretended to keep an eye out for intruder's I was actually using my powers to create a more stable magical ecosystem over the entire planet. The vessel was supposed to make all life on Earth magically enhanced but I'd miscalculated and it had enhanced humans and only some of the wildlife. None of the flora had been affected and only ten percent of the animals had mutated. Which had badly affected the balance and allowed witches with unequal powers to exist. There were never supposed to be powerful witches. They were only ever supposed to be equal in power. With me rebalancing the magical ecosystem, over time evolution would make it so witches would be equals. Every creature would have magic abilities and even the flora would be alive with magic power. I was creating spirits that would assist in rebalancing the magic. I suppose this was me playing the Goddess role once more or perhaps this was the old me wanting to fix my mistakes or maybe I wanted to fix the previous me's mistakes. "Hey are you doing alright?" I heard Leah ask me. I had been so focused on my work that I hadn't noticed her sitting beside me. "Ah yeah just doing Faerie stuff" I told her. "I'll never get used to the fact that I'm dating a faerie" she said with a small laugh. I knew my ancestors would be ashamed of me for dating a lesser species. I of course didn't care. "Human says what?" I said quickly. "What was that?" She asked me. I laughed. "Oh haha very funny" she said sarcastically. I stood up, the spirits in the camp were all telling me we were under attack. I flew up twenty metres in the air and looked around. I came back down and the girls and Reg rushed up to me. "What's going on?" Reg asked me. "A large group is crossing the lake. They are all corrupted. There's even casteless with them" I told her. "What's the plan?" The girls asked. "Sorry Reg" I told her and teleported her directly to the high council headquarters. "Where'd you send her?" Leah asked me. "The safest place for her. The high council" I told the group. "Okay look I'm going to boost all your powers to their current maximum potential. Then I'll put up a barrier around the camp" I told them and did so.
-We waited by the edge of the barrier as they walked across the lake they had frozen solid. "Are you still not fighting them? Heather asked me looking extremely nervous. "They need to be cured but first I need to examine how the curse works. We need to take them alive" I told my coven. "Don't think too hard about this but it needs to be done" I told the girls and began to move the very moon itself creating an eclipse. Sarah's body instantly changed into its most powerful form. The Goddess of shadows. She grew black wings, white horns began to protrude out of her head and her body changed from skin to dark dragon scales. Her eyes became pure white. Leah looked at me "babe I get this is bad but the other girls are going to question that" she sent into my head. "Look it's just us. The other witches are hiding in the main hall. If I have to out myself to Heather and Sarah then so be it. Right now my priority is taking these witches out non-lethally" I replied then focused my attention on the approaching Hedge Army members. "Faerie, stand down. We don't wish to fight you. We just want Regina and the relics in the camp" Cornelia called to me. I flew towards them, leaving the barrier and my coven. I stood only a metre away from Sarah and Cornelia. They were surrounded by crazed-looking witches and behind them was a long line of casteless. "You know my power. I don't want to hurt you but I will if you attack the camp" I told them. "So you're against us old friend" Cornelia stated a flare of anger crossing her face. "Sarah show our old leader the new power we wield," she said before cackling. Sarah created a lightning bolt in her hand, it was an unnatural glowing black lightning. I recognised the power just as it hit me. It was too powerful for me to block. I coughed and blood came out of my mouth "demonic magic" I quietly said. "I didn't want this but you leave me no choice" I told them. I released my power and my body morphed into its original Royal Faerie form. My ears become pointed my hair changed from brunette to a glowing white-blonde and my skin glowed like the very sun itself. Dragonfly-like wings grew from my back and a golden tiara sat upon my head. My cloak disappeared and in its place was a white dress. My Sarah flew to my side. "I've got your back Zero" she told me. The Hedge witches started to fire at us but we dodged easily. "Combo with me. Shadow and light in unison" I told Sarah. "Let's do it" she said. We created a beam of white Faerie and dark shadow magic and fired it directly at the Hedge witches. They created a shield with the demon magic they were wielding but not all of the were fast enough and some were caught in our combo. I noticed then what had happened. Vines had been holding them in place. That had to have been Leah. I quickly glanced and she was roughly fifty metres away. The fact that she had managed to summon vines strong enough to pierce the very ice astounded me. That was amazing for a human. Heather was beside her and was creating an army of gem golems. They ran towards us. She must have summoned every crystal in the area to make those golems. "I've got an idea, cover me while I cast" Sarah told me. "You got it" I told her. She began to cast a spell while I drew the attention of the army and blasted them with white magic. Leah was whipping the army with vines and roots but the army was proving too powerful for her plants. The golems hit the casteless with everything they had and the plants gained the distraction they needed. A small portion of the casteless was tied to the ice. "Now" Sarah yelled and gigantic shadow beasts attacked the army. They bowled them over and pinned them down. I threw paralysis magic at those that fell. Cornelia and Sarah were cornered. I flew down toward them. "Do you surrender or do you want me to get serious?" I asked them. Sarah put her hands up but Cornelia flared with complete and utter anger. She went to attack me directly but my Sarah attacked her from behind and knocked her out. The girls all hurried to my side and we took them back to the camp. We put them in the storm cellar underneath the main hall. I put a block on their powers and abilities which rendered them momentarily harmless. Still, we kept Boulder and a heap of golems on guard. I changed back to my human form before anyone else saw me. When we got back to the cabin I teleported Reg back to us. "What the heck Zero!?" She yelled at me then realised we were exhausted. "Did you win at least?" She asked us. "We won" Leah told her and fell back onto her bed. "The council is debating on what to do with you Zero" Reg told me. "I'll deal with them after we work out what to do with the Army" I told her. "Where are they Zero?" She asked me suddenly looking concerned. "They are currently powerless and in the cellar" Heather told her. "Hey by the way. What was that weird transformation you did back there?" Heather asked me. "Oh I'm a Faerie princess" I told her casually. "Speaking of, the council knows you're not human. It wasn't Michalo. It was an informant that was keeping tabs on the army" Reg told me. "Wait did you say you're a Faerie?" Heather asked me with raised eyebrows.
