TRYST: Secret Meeting Between Two Lovers

CHAPTER 19

Today is already Saturday, tomorrow Shehroz's family would come to us for dinner.  I tried to contact him these days because I wanted to apologize but he just replied with "yes" "ok". This worried me more, I didn't want someone to get upset because of me. Areeba came to see me today, we hadn't seen each other for a long time.  I want to talk to her about this but I knew she would be angry so I was kind of scared but I plucked up my courage;
Minahil: I have to tell you something but promise me you won't get angry
Areeba: what have you been up to, tell me
Minahil: about 4 days ago Shehroz  had called me and i told him i didn't want to have relationships for now
Areeba: No Minahil tell me you're kidding, aren't you?
Minahil: No that's all true, I tried to contact him but he didn't answer me very well
Areeba: Minahil, you're stupid!  why did you do it
Minahil: i know, i feel very guilty too, but i tried to fix things later but he won't answer me and this has been worrying me for so many days. 
Areeba: Come on, at least you fell in love!  This can be resolved, when he comes tomorrow, talk to him about it.  I'm sure he'll understand
Minahil: I'm not in love, it was just because I feel bad
Areeba: I've known you for many years Mianhil, and then there's nothing wrong, finally you're making progress in life.
Minahil: you know me yes, but I don't feel anything for anyone
Areeba: yes of course!  and why do you blush like that?
I was about to answer when I heard mama calling me.  Areeba and I headed to the living room where I found Shehroz I hadn't even heard the front door open.  He had come here to give me the dress that I was supposed to wear for tomorrow's occasion it was a tradition for them.  I don't know why when he came my mother always left us alone. The silence between the three of us is broken when she speaks; 
Areeba: Nice to meet you I'm Minahil's best friend
Shehroz: Nice, I'm Shehroz
Areeba: So you look better than Mianhil told me
Shehroz:he says smiling, I'm glad! 
Minahil: Before you go back I would like to talk to you, can you stop for a few minutes? 
Meanwhile mom joined us and Areeba and I went to the kitchen.  After a while I heard the front door close.  He was gone, he didn't stop, I had to talk to him.  Areeba and I went back to my room
Minahil: you saw he didn't stop, I even asked him
Areeba:  He was in a hurry, he's not angry with you Minahil. 
Minahil: Yes he is, he could just tell me that he didn't want to talk to me.
When I finished the sentence I feel my eyelashes getting wet.
Areeba: Minahil, don't cry, it was nothing serious and then tomorrow you see each other again so you can still talk to him. 
Minahil: I don't understand why I'm crying!
Areeba: because my friend you are in love! 
I wiped away my tears and we saw the dress he had brought me.  It was a long black dress with touches of white and Areeba advised me on what jewelry to wear, what hair style to do and what to wear as shoes. 
Areeba: I want to see the first photo you take, if Shehroz doesn't mind! 
Minahil: Don't worry, you'll be the first to see me in this dress.
Afterwards, Areeba and I helped Mom with the chores for tomorrow.  In the evening I accompanied Areeba home and on my way home, I stopped at a pastry shop to get some sweets that mama had asked me for.  It had been a long hard day and I was finally on my bed sleeping now and could feel my heart being super happy for tomorrow. 
AREEBA
Minahil doesn't want to admit it but she fell in love.  After all, it's been two weeks since she's been seeing Shehroz.  The tears in her eyes today said it all, when she is with someone she trusts she may as well start crying and so she did.  I was so happy for her, finally she will be happy too.  I'm sure Shehroz will understand her well and reassure her.  There was nothing to hide, but Minahil wants to tell everything before starting a relationship.
