We entered the hallway. Everyone looked at Jace. The girls grabbed their phones and took stolen shots of Jace.

Jace maintained his poker face. I poked his cheek and said, "Smileeeeeee."

He just rolled his eyes and removed my hand. I laughed to myself.

We reached the classroom and sat down. Jace grabbed his earphones and closed his eyes.

I sat down and started doodling.

"Cathy!" Someone exclaimed.

I turned my head and saw Zylen standing at our door.

He told me to walk over. I closed my notebook and walked towards him.

"What is it?" I asked.

"We'll continue spying on them later." He told me.

"Lunch time?"

He nods. In the corner of my eye, I saw Vanessa walking towards our classroom.

She approached me and asked, "Is Jace here?"

I pointed to where Jace was. "Thanks." She said and walked towards Jace.

I looked at them. Vanessa poked Jace and Jace looked at her. He removed his earplugs and she talked talking. I was even surprised when I saw that Jace was actually listening to her.

"Didn't your parents teach you that it's rude to stare?" Zylen asked.

I didn't even notice that I was staring at them. I blushed slightly.

"Tch. Are you going to help me or not?" He asked.

"Of course I am!" I replied.

He smiled. A smile that spelled trouble.

"Okay, meet me at my locker. I'll tell you the plan there." He said and walked away.

I sighed. What have done? If Jace knew that I was spying on him, he would be furious.

I went back to my seat and sat down.

"So Jace, would you like to eat lunch with me?" Vanessa said.

Instinctively, I turned towards the two of them. Jace didn't see me looking at them but Vanessa did. She started to smile.

Tch. I actually fell for her trap.

"Sure. Whatever." Jace replied.

"That's great! Would you like to come with us Cathy?" She asked.

This woman is starting to get on my nerves. "No thanks. I've got my own plans." I smiled.

"Ohh that's sad." She said. But she didn't sound sad at all.

"Guess it will just be the two of us Jace." Vanessa smiled.

"What plans?" Jace asked me.

He's right. What plans? I asked myself.

"My dad and I have some things to settle." I decided to say.

He didn't look convinced but he didn't pry.

The bell rang and Vanessa went back to her classroom. Then class started.

The lunch bell rang. I quickly grabbed my bag and said goodbye to Jace.

I walked out of the classroom and into the hallway. It was very crowded. I wouldn't have spotted Zylen if he wasn't so tall. His fluffy chocolate brown head emerged from all the rest.

I walked towards him. He smiled when he saw me.

"So, what's the plan?" I asked Zylen.

"Actually I don't have a plan." He replied.

"I knew it. Good thing I know where they will eat."

"That's great! Let's go!" He said and grabbed my hand.

We walked to the garden. Vanessa said that they would be eating at the fourth tree from the left side. Just as she said, they were there eating packed lunch.

Zylen and I tiptoed to the third tree and hid there.

Vanessa prepared chocolate sandwiches. They looked delicious.

"Here Jace." Vanessa said and handed a sandwich to Jace.

"No thanks. I don't eat sweet stuff." He said.

"Really? I didn't prepare anything but these!"

"It's fine, I'm not hungry."

Then it became silent. Vanessa munched on her sandwich silently.

"I'll go get some drinks." Vanessa said breaking the silence. She quickly walked away.

Now Jace was all alone. I just hope he doesn't find out that we're spying on him.

"Plans with daddy huh?" Jace suddenly said.

I gasped and quickly covered my mouth.

"You guys can come out now."

Zylen and I walked towards Jace, our heads down.

"Zylen, you were curious right?" Jace asked.

"Yes." Zylen replied.

"Just go before I beat you up." Jace sighed.

"Can I get a sandwich?" Zylen asked. This boy doesn't really know how to read the situation.

Jace nods. Zylen grabbed a sandwich and quickly ran away.

"Rine." He said and patted the space beside him. I sat down.

"You'll always be my priority. You'll always be the girl on the top of my list. You know that right?" He said.

That statement made me blush a little.

I nod. Jace might be cold, but he's not unforgiving. That statement may not seem like it, but that states that he forgives me.

He tossed me a sandwich. I catched it and ate it.

"Go. Your dad must be waiting." He told me. In other words, Go. Before Vanessa sees you.

"Bye Jace." I told him and left.
