Chapter 18- Everything will be alright.

6 months later…

They were all sat around a table in the tavern, tankards of mead on the table, talking and laughing. Leon smiled at the beautiful redhead next to him and squeezed her hand. She nodded and gave him one of her sweet smiles. Leon turned to face the others and tried to get their attention. Gwaine, who was already relatively drunk slammed his tanked of mead onto the table causing a large bang that made everyone look round. “Thank you.” Leon said. “I have an announcement to make.” Leon said smiling. “Yesterday evening I asked the beautiful Rosa Nightingale if she would do me the honour of becoming my wife.” He said as Rosa blushed. “And I am overjoyed to say she agreed.” There was a stunned silence for a moment, and then suddenly, all at once everyone was slapping Leon on the back and congratulating them. “Another round!” Gwaine cried slamming his tanked of mead repeatedly before catching his finger under it and yelping in pain much to Percival’s amusement. Rosa slipped onto Leon’s knee and he wrapped his arms around his fiancée, “I love you Leon.” She whispered to him as she leant back on his chest.

“I love you to Rosa, my beautiful Rosa.” He said making her blush. Leon laughed. “Oh stop it!” She said lightly hitting his arm.

“Make me.” He whispered, his lips tickling her ear.

“Maybe I will.” She whispered leaning her head back to look deep into his deep blue eyes. “I’d liked to see you try.” He said before finding her lips with his and kissing her. When he pulled away she smiled, eyes closed. “I win.” She said quietly.

After an hour and many tankards of mead they had practically taken over the tavern. There was a small band playing in the corner and Leon and Rosa were dancing around the tables. The others hung around the sides of the room drinking and laughing. “Gwaine? Why do you have that grin on your face?” Leon asked as he came over to catch his breath. “Apple bobbing…in mead!” Gwaine replied grinning like a child. “You have got to get the apples out with your teeth!” Gwaine told them as he showed them a barrel full of mead with apples floating in it. “So we put our heads in a barrel of mead and pull apples out with our teeth?” Merlin asked slightly confused. “Yeh!” Gwaine said excitedly.

“Sound fun, go on then.” Rosa said smirking. Gwaine smiled at her before pulling off his shirt. Merlin gave him a strange look. “What? I don’t want to get it ruined.” Gwaine said before turning to Rosa wearing his best seductive smile. “And it was getting kind of hot in here.” He said to her. Rosa raised her eyebrows at him.

“Leon.” She said to her fiancé who was busy talking to Percival.

“Ye-” He didn’t get to finish his sentence before she stopped him with a kiss. Gwaine sighed as Percival patted his shoulder. “Not gonna work mate, not gonna work.” Percival said smiling. “Come one Gwaine! Are you going to show us how this is done?” Arthur called and Gwaine grinned.

“Prepare to be amazed.” Gwaine said striding forwards.

After a while, when Gwaine still hadn’t brought his head up, Percival kicked him in the leg. “Hurry up Gwaine.” He said. Gwaine pulled his head out of the barrel swishing his hair back splashing everyone with mead, an apple in his mouth. Gwaine grinned and took a large bite out of the apple. Percival stepped forwards to have a go before he realised that at least a third of the mead was gone. Suddenly there was a hiccup from behind him and he looked around to see Gwaine stagger into a table. Percival grinned before plunging his head into the mead.

Soon everyone had had a go, even Rosa, though Leon had held her long ginger hair back to save it from the mead. Percival and Elyan were now sat at a table where Elyan insisted he could beat Percival in an arm wrestle and kept asking for rematches. Leon was sat with Rosa on his knee laughing with her about something; completely in their own little bubble. “Where’s Arthur?” Merlin asked Gwaine who was trying to eat and apple but kept missing his mouth. He shrugged before suddenly his eyes widened and a smile spread across his face and he pulled himself upright. However not for long; he stumbled and tripped over a table leg and fell into a tapestry that concealed the entrance to the store room. The tapestry was pulled off the walls and landed in a heap on top of Gwaine but not only did it reveal the entrance to the store room but it also revealed a very drunk Arthur snogging a young girl with long dark brown hair. Everyone turned to stare as Arthur pulled away from the girl and saw everyone watching. “Oh.” Was all he said before he passed out.

Soon everyone lay slumped across tables or lain out on the floor. Merlin looked around at his friends, Arthur snoring in the corner, Percival and Elyan slumped across the table, Leon and Rosa asleep in each other’s arms and Gwaine on the floor, an apple still in his hand. He smiled; everyone had seemed to have put what had happened in the castle of mirrors as he called it, behind them. Leon had found Rosa and they both seemed very happy together and Gwaine seemed to have put Eirawen behind him, not that she was forgotten but he had accepted what had happened and had moved on. Merlin sighed; it seemed everything was going to be alright.

I know what your thinking! But this is not the end! There is one more little bit left! The epilogue sets up for the sequal!!! This chapter was really just to use some ideas i had and to kept some promises to people. Ok so first, MadOverMerlin! I hope u liked this! Rosa is u! (I promised this to her after writing Leon and Arabella to make sure Leon was happy at the end!) Then to my friend CrazyElfPrincess! Yes i did just grant your wish! U r that girl Arthur kissed! There! I told u i would do it and i did! (u are now eternaly in my debt btw) :) Also is it just me who thinks apple bobbing in mead is the greatest game ever? I thought of it and was like OMG! topless Gwaine apple bobbing in mead!!!!! (Btw no stealing of that please!!!)
