Lorraine Winters was only a year old when she was given the dark mark. She made history by being the youngest to ever carry it on her left arm. She may not have gotten it if it weren't for muggles killing her older brother and sister before she was born, sending her parents into a spiralling mental decline. Her parents were desperate to fight back and wanted to ensure they would not lose another child by having Lord Voldemort give her the mark at a young age. It wasn't exactly the best parenting decision.
She was raised with a death eater's beliefs and she grew to be an incredibly cunning young child who was responsible for manipulating hundreds of death eaters into proving their lack of faith. Her family was never known as death eaters amongst the wizarding community, which allowed her to get away with such feats. They were known as spies amongst the death eaters. No one was as cunning as them.
She always had reservations about the side she was fighting for and never thought to question her actions, but when she is tasked with spying on Harry Potter and she befriends Ron Weasley. He opens her eyes and introduces a whole realm of possibilities for her, helping her to discover the true motives of her parents and, of course, how it feels to truly be loved.
