Chapter 17

Xander

my eyes flutter open as the vibration of my alarm, Skylar flat out in my arms i reach over and hit the screen to turn it off

turning back i pull my baby closer hearing her little moan before i kiss her forehead, staring at her beauty for a few minutes alot on my mind but still i smile before gently getting up, i tuck her back in with Rhina then make my way to the shower.

After doing my morning routine i am exiting dried and naked, Skylar still flat out i then go to the walk in closet picking some joggers
a t-shirt with panties and socks before putting them on the corner chair for Skylar, since she said yesterday she wanted to paint today
i then begin to dress in my grey suit, taking my watch and styling my tousled hair
i go back to Skylar 'i love you' i kiss her cheek then exit the room with a soft click

Entering the kitchen Katherine and Marcelle are there 'good you're in a suit' i comment to Marcelle who nods as Katherine brings me my coffee 'i placed her clothes on the chair, she wants to paint today' i look hard at her 'make sure she keeps it on the paper, i already have the men coming to fix the floor today'
she smiles but nods 'of course sir'

'also put her hair in two briads' she nods again

'uhm' Marcelle clears his throat making me eye him 'words' he shakes his head 'i uh, met some littles the other day' i dont say anything 'they are.... something else' i drink my coffee 'Skylar is all i need, and she is amazing' i smile

'well i met a man i liked, his name is Tommy' he smiles
'well then'
'he- has a d... daddy' he frowns
and i laugh a one right from my chest
'you look like me when i first met little Skylar' he shakes his head 'hes cute' he says
'well, if he already has one unfortunately for you he is taking' i take the spoon and start to eat my cereal

'yeah' Marcelle says with a tint of sadness
'i thought you were dating someone'
he exhales 'didnt work out, he found my f..'
he stops short and my head slowly goes to him

'he found what' my mouth full
'he uh'..
i swallow 'words now Marcelle' i grit
'he found the files for the docks' my eyes harden as i stand slowly
'you better end that with he is gone'
he looks away 'MARCELLE' i all but shout making him jump
'i couldn't ok' he looks and my lips thin

'this is not a question of you couldn't' i snap

'he..'
'you will do it or' i leave it hanging

'your not coming with me, the words best leave your lips by the end of the day do you understand me' he nods

'Katherine' she looks at me wary 'go make sure i didnt wake Skylar up, i need to leave'
i glare my temper fucking boiling

author's POV

it is mid day, luckily she did not wake up from Xander's yelling but she did wake up when Katherine went in the room, requesting pancakes so that is what her and Katherine spent the morning doing but Skylar... she doesn't feel so good

and now she plays in hers and Xanders room she decided she did not want to paint but to play with her dolls and tea set, Katherine is down stairs cleaning the living area..

'Rhina yo had nuf tea' she points at her stuffie 'we go leav some daddy' the sweet girl smiles before looking at her trixie doll 'yo' she pours the imaginary drink then sets the plastic pot down 'now' she looks at all her plastic and stuffed freinds 'we dink' she brings the cup to her lips 'aaahh' with a satifised gasp, but she is stopped mid play by the sound of a sweet melody coming from the walk in closet..

she frowns 'me no tha' she pouts putting her cup of imaginary tea down before standing, her hands clasp the closet handle and she pulls down just as the melody stops 'hm' she frowns more standing for a moment 'otay' she turns but the melody starts again making a smile come to her pouted lips..

she turns back before entering the walk in listening as she gets closer to the back where she sees her bag 'oh oh' she takes in and puts it on the floor kneeling 'it mine it mine' excited she opens the bag seeing the shining light inside 'phone' she frowns taking it and looking at the screen 'is daddy' she wonders before pressing the green button and puts it to her ear 'who is'

'Skylar, Skylar are you there' her eyes wide

'apil' her freind, she has not spoking to in long time is all Skylar can think as she squeals

'sshh shhh Skylar' she does and stops bouncing

'i have missed you girl' April says and Skylar frowns 'me be playing' April smiles sadly

'do you want me to come play' Skylar stills at this her little mind goes back to the man who made her daddy cry

'me no let peple hurt my daddy' she says harshly

'i dont want to hurt him' April thinks to take another route

'why dont we go for a strawberry milkshake and the soft play' Skylar's mind races the excitement of those two things her daddy never took her before this makes her sad

'but but me no'

'we will have alot of fun i promise'

Skylar smiles 'o-otay but but'

'leave your house and find the white car along the road' Skylar bites her lip

'o-tay me ge rhina'

'yes bring Rhina' Aprils eyes water hearing her freinds vulnerability 'see you soon girl' she hangs up and Skylar brings the phone from her ear 'hm, milshake and and sofplay' she goes sad

'my daddy nevr take me'
but she is soon stopped when she sees a familiar name.. her mind goes into space
'ohhh tha daddy'

she presses over his name 'me gon tel him' hearing the ring ring ring she her chest goes giddy hearing Xander's voice on his voice mail..

'daddy daddy me go sof play and and me apil wil grt milshake yo nevr took me and and i wan go alot alot otay' the call ends and Skylar smiles before getting up leaving the phone ontop of her bag but little does she know only a few words made it to his voicemail.

Anyways, she goes back into the room and grabs her dory back pack and starts to fill it with her favourite things then takes her coat and rhina, going down stairs Katherine is busy making pie with some soft music on in the back ground, once skylar has her slip on sneakers 'me go apil' she shouts before opening the door leaving without Katherine even hearing her.
