Zeke and I arrive at an intersection.

From down the street, we see trucks coming down the street being guarded by militia.

Zeke starts to talk.

“Sure packing a lot of heat just to humiliate some police. Hell, It’ll be worth it, though. The cops in those cages are just a fraction of who they got back at the plantation. You bust those boys out, and you’re going to have a hard time holding them back,”

I chuckle.

“I won’t need to hold them back. They know who the enemy is,”

“‘Course they do. They were fightin’ the militia for the longest. They’re the good of New Marais. Of what it used to be,”

Zeke continues.

“Now, let’s get to freein’,”

“Yeah. Let’s clear out the first truck together, then it’ll be guns blazing from there,”

“Just the way we like it,”

I climb a building and position myself above the first truck. I give Zeke the signal and he starts firing.

I drop down on some militia and without effort wipe them out.

The militia of all the trucks behind us start to shoot at us.

Through the gunfire, I hear Zeke yell at me.

“Free those cops and we’ll have more hands!”

I head over to the cages and break all the locks.

Police run out the cages and grab guns of downed militia.

I take advantage of the gunfire and free the rest of the cops held by the militia.

Even though we freed a buch of cops, taking out the rest of the militia will be difficult.

Suddenly, a cluster of militia get surrounded in hazy smoke.

It’s Nix. I fire a blast at the cluster and send all the militia flying.

Nix appears and starts tearing through militia.

I take out my amp and start to take out some militia.

After a while, we end up taking out all the militia.

I call Zeke over.

“Can you take us to the cane plantation?”

“Sure can. Just say the word,”

I nod.

I turn to Nix and the cops and speak to them.

“I know this may be much to ask, but I need to save someone. Someone named Kuo. She’s held in a nearby cane plantation. All I ask is for you to take out as many militia as you can there,”

One of the cops speak up.

“You don’t even have to ask!”

The rest of the cops erupt in agreement.

I turn to Zeke.

“Alright, lead the way,”

Zeke nods and heads down the street.

When we arrive at the cane plantation, the militia waste no time and start shooting.

The cops return fire and I rush into the plantation.

I use my sensing ability to scan the surrounding area.

What the hell? There’s hundreds, no thousands of people in the ground beneath us. The hell is going on here?
