Right now, my mind is bottled up with faceclaims. However, Rachel will remain because Kelly is a huge inspiration in the book's appearance for Rachel's character. I chose those other actresses because I wanted to be realistic about Rachel's race since she is of Chinese descent. Kelly is Vietnamese so I wondered how all of that would work but I guess when it comes to faceclaims, it pretty much matters if your character's book appearance fits the persona plus physical aspect of an actor or actress. I believe it shouldn't matter what the exact specific race of said actor/actress is because using faceclaims, we are so focused on the physical appearance of our characters regardless of nationality. The only things we'll get correct are their skin color, eyes, and physical appearance at some points. In my opinion, I won't always depend on a faceclaim because we have different visions of who we see as our characters as authors. So in my head, book appearances will never change while a faceclaim can. In addition, Rachel Sung won't be changed because I stick with Kelly Marie Tran when she's been the main character-look inspiration behind Rachel.

With the Ricky situation, I could see J.R. as the character physically, but what I also look for in a faceclaim is the mannerisms of said character related to the actor/actress. If an actor/actress does something that my characters do, that's why I go Leonardo Dicaprio on them.

And that's when physical appearance plays a huge part

And that's when physical appearance plays a huge part. Even if an actor/actress has a different eye color, I can still see them as the character regardless.

Now, I might keep Dylan as Ricky but J.R. is attacking that idea. With Dylan, I never changed Ricky's faceclaim ever since Dangerous Romance. He's stayed the same since 2017. Because of Ricky's cocky personality, that's why I kept Dylan as Ricky's faceclaim for five years now. So on the Ricky situation, I'm going to hold off on that before I start thinking of recasting him. Plus another thing that makes me want to recast Ricky is Dylan's race when he's mostly white with some Spanish and Irish ancestry. Ricky's Puerto Rican. So, finding Puerto Rican actors that are about 31-32 didn't help since they are nonexistent. But since J.R. isn't Puerto Rican, he's still of Hispanic descent which makes me want to recast Ricky because of that. So I believe I shouldn't get too hung up on everyone's racial backgrounds because a little bit of the physical and mannerisms is what draws me to choosing a faceclaim for a certain character in my books.

Last but not least, Danny. Freddie is still a fresh face I found recently. Lucas Till, at first I couldn't see it. But when I placed him as Danny in my head, I have to heavily visualize the mannerisms. Some of it is close but I'm still having conflicting thoughts. Since Freddie surprised me lately, I became drawn to some of his mannerisms that made me go "I can see Danny in you" that I'm still holding onto him. Lucas is an option but I'll leave Danny's faceclaim alone. So Lucas can work in one way or another.

Including, I wanted to pick underrated actors and actresses as the characters so I don't have to go to the ones that are pretty underused a lot. Dylan O'Brien is an underused faceclaim so I thought of choosing a totally whole different actor that nobody knows. And that is J.R. Villarreal. Freddie and Lucas are both underrated as actors yet Lucas still gets clout since everyone knows him from the Taylor Swift music video, X-Men, and Hannah Montana: The Movie.
