The next day when the last bell rang I walked out with Luke laughing at something stupid he said.
"Haylee?" I heard Ashton say.
"Yeah." I answered shyly.
"Aren't you coming to mine?" He asked.
"Oh uh yeah." I said looking at Luke.
"Go. If something goes wrong call or text me and I'll be there as quick as I can." He said.
"Alright." I half smiled to Luke and walked away with Ashton.
The ride to Ashton's was quite. He turned on some music and I noticed the song right away. Paper bag by Fiona Apple. I started to sing along not realizing I was in Ashton's car with Ashton. Until he turned it off.
"Wow." He said.
"Oh um sorry I-I didn't realize-"
"Haylee. Why didn't you say you were so good." Ashton said.
I also realized we were stopped now.
"I-um-what?" I said.
"That was good! I didn't know you could sing!" He smiled.
"I usually don't in front of people." I said.
"Not even Luke?"
"Not even Luke." I answered.
"Wow. And I thought you guys were together."
"Luke has told you so many times we are not together." I said.
"Look at you actually talking." He smiled.
I blushed and turned away.
"Why are you like that?" He asked.
Because of you.
"I just-I just am." I said.
He opened his door and got out and I did the same following him. His house was huge!
"Wow." I said when we walked in.
"My room is this way." He said.
I followed him to the room and he closed the door.
"Um so I was thinking we could-"
"Tell me about you Haylee." He said.
"Um what?" I said.
"I really don't care about this project. I just wanna know you. Who is Haylee." He smiled.
"Um. Me?" I said.
"No silly. What I mean is tell me about you. I want to know anything you want to tell me."
I told him a few things not anything deep fearing he would tell the whole school and cause me to get bullied by more people than just him.
"Haylee." He said moving to sit down in front of me.
"Yeah?" I answered.
He put a piece of my hair behind my ear and smiled. I felt my face turn a deep shade of red.
"Haylee." He smiled.
Then he kissed me. I was shocked! He kissed me! I kissed him back and he smiled. Then I smiled. He pulled away.
"Haylee."
"Haylee."
"Haylee!"
I woke up to Luke pushing me.
"What!" I hissed.
"Sorry next time I won't wake you up in time for school!" He said.
"Wait what?" I asked.
"Haylee you feel asleep last night after watching The Breakfast Club for the hundredth time!" Luke laughed.
"Oh." I said.
It was all a dream.
