"Well?"

Arjun swivel his head settling his timorous gaze on the woman who stood there raising her brow in dubiety. Swallowing the rising awkwardness he flashed the smile he knew worked on almost everyone "I was just wondering what a lady is doing in a place such this, I don't think it's safe for you"

The lady returned his smile "No place is unsafe for someone who serves the lord of all worlds, Arya"

Arjun couldn't help but admired her aplomb "That is absolutely true, Devi. Pardon me for bothering you, I am Kaunteya Arjun"

"Kaunteya Arjun..." Kalindi maffled to herself before realisation slowly clawed her mind making a soft almost invisible smile flicker across her face "Indra putra Arjun—Shri Nar! That—That must mean he—"

Arjun opener his mouth to question what she just said but the woman was too busy blabbering words to herself while almost sobbing and giggling like an infant at the same time.

Why everyone around him was acting weird?

"Devi, ar—"

"Where is he?" Kalindi bursted out taking Arjun by surprise.

"Who?"

"My Swami" Kalindi shook her head laughing at her own idiocy "You came here with someone, right? Where is he?"

"As a matter of fact Im here to take you to him" To say Arjun was amused would be an understatement as he watched her eyes belighting in pure joy.

"Lead me to him Arya" She managed to plead, feeling her throat closing up as she added in an almost inaudible whisper "Please"

"No need to plead Devi, that's why I am here for" Saying Arjun indicated her to follow him and she did, with her heart caught in her throat Kalindi ambled toward her moment of epiphany.

Kalindi felt ebullition of thousand emotions, some familiar and some utterly alien, as she found it hard to breath when her parched eyes finally zeroed on the sight it was yearning for since ages.

The grandiose yellow garment shining against his tawny skin, his full lips curved in an illecebrous smile. Splendor of million suns radiating through his body almost blinding her vision along with the tears.

"Swami" Unable to stand any further Kalindi collapsed down but before her body could touch the ground a strong pair of arm caught hold of her fragile body. The sensation of his warm hands against her delicate cold flesh made electricity ran down Kalindi's spine

"Your place is not at my feet, Kalindi" Krishna husked his dark eyes flickering with love and arodoration.

Krishna made her stand on her feet before placing a hand on her left cheek wet with tears that was still trailing down "Dwarka has enough of ocean already, we don't need anymore of it"

Kalindi couldn't help but felt heat rushing into her cheeks as she averted her eyes, letting  out a small chortle. She had heard so much about his infamous sarcasm and from now she would get to experience all his leela herself, the realisation made a wave of thrill swept over her.

"Trust me when I say I absolutely hate interrupting you two" The now familiar rich voice yanked Kalindi out of her state of bliss as she looked up at her husband's cousin as he tittered "But if I don't I don't think we would be able to reach Khandavprasth anytime soon,"

"How come you're suddenly so eager to reach Khandavprasth Parth?" Krishna joshed "If I recollect properly you were saying something different altogether"

"Because I can see the plight in your eyes Madhav" Arjun winked "You clearly can't wait to have some alone time with Bhabishri, as your cousin I'm just helping you out"

Arjun smiled in satisfaction, taking pleasure in Krishna's embarrassment, he was all ready to revenge for the inappropriate jokes he had made on his wedding sometimes in front of Krishnaa

Kalindi felt blessed to witness such playful moments between the divine sages whose very energy was what holding the universe up.

With their playful argument still going, two of the Krishnas along with Kalindi ascended on their chariot and left for Khandavprasth.

"but—"
"No but" Kunti's firm tone cut her nephew short earning a small smile from his bride who stood just beside him draped in a white simple sari appearing beatific

Arjun let out a breath of relief as the fact that his mother would not let Krishna leave Khandavprasth so soon, not before she gets Krishna and Kalindi married. He wasn't ready to let go of him, not really.

"I've already asked Draupadi to make all the arrangements" Kunti beamed making Arjun let out a small chuckle as he watched his mother being exhilarated like a child as she continued "And—There she is"

Before Arjun could stop himself, he found himself gaping at the woman in front, arresting his body mind and soul with her ravishing beauty as always, His eyes drank her sight as she handed something to his mother, Arjun could tell she was deliberately ignoring him, he could see her struggling keeping her eyes off of him.

And he didn't like it.

Not at all.

Realisation seeped in his mind, he liked how expressive she had always been about her feelings towards him even though he had done barely nothing to acknowledge it or express his own neither he had any plan of doing so.

But what bothered him even more was her dolent eyes that seemed rather lost almost yearning to hold onto something and—

"...Right Arjun?"

Arjun was snapped out of his trance by a very familiar voice that he knew belonged to his eldest brother, briskly composing his senses he cleared his throat before throwing a small smile he nodded not having an ounce of idea what on earth his brother was talking about "Yes, certainly"

"Great" Bheem rejoiced throwing an arm around Arjun "Now that Arjun has agreed, Kanha is bound to stay"

.....
First of all, I've written it after like 6 months of not writing a single word so I know it's not good, with the kind of job that I do, it's EXTREMELY difficult to have any time for yourself. Sometimes im up all night and cross different time zones of different countries and trust me the sleep you get at night you can never have it during daytime so with my crazy sleep schedule and stuff, I was and still finding it hard to write

But I promise I'll try my best to be regular, but I really need your support 🫶🏼🥹

Okay bye 🫠
