Chapter 18

"I heard what happened."

"The what?" I asked. I'm in a library right now, minding my own business when suddenly I saw Raign walking towards so she's here right now, bothering me again. So I packed my stuff and walk pass her.

"Yung sa cheating thing ni manang kaya na disqualified," she said, catching up on me. "But I heard that also na nando'n daw si Yahwi. It could be possibly na tinulangan ka ni Yahwi or something?"

I shrugs. I don't know either. Si Yahwi lang naman napagsabihan ko about dun so it could be possible na tinulangan niya ako but why would he do that? We never had an communication in a year. Why? Am I special to him now or something?

"Baka special special ka sa kaniya kaya nagawa niya 'yon, 'no?"

Tinignan ko si Raign. "What makes you think of that?"

"Kasi naman..." She leaned in. "Mahilig ka sa rebisco. May pa subra na pagmamahal at care dahil special ka, witwiw."

I rolled my eyes and nudge her. She laugh like there's no tomorrow on her own joke.

"Ah, speaking of. Nasa labas pala si Yahwi ng school, hinihintay ka."

"What?"

"Gulat ka, 'no? Naka-tide ka ba today?" I rolled my eyes so she laughed. "Joke lang, e. So sungit naman pero yeah, nasa labas siya ng school."

"Seryoso?"

"Mukha ba akong 'di mapagtiwalaan?"

"Oo kasi puro ka nalang ads pag tinatanong ka. What if maging TV ka nalang?"

Pumalakpak siya. "Ay, sus! Why not? I'd love to."

"Goodluck sa journey mo."

"Thank you, my friend."

Napailing nalang ako at dumaritso sa gate para alamin kung totoo ba 'yong sinasabi ni Raign.

Napabugtong-hininga ako nung wala naman akong nakita.

"I swear, Raign—" I stopped from walking back to the school nung may tumawag sa 'kin. Lumingon ako at nakita ko si Yahwi.

"Hey, your class is done?"

"How about you? Ditching?"

He laughs. "Yeah, I am. Ditch with me, princess?" He said, jokingly

I rolled my eyes. "What do you want? Why are you here?"

"Taking my love out."

"Who?"

"You."

"Who you?"

"I'm Yahwi."

I turned my back on him, pretending to be annoyed on him. But I was hiding my reddened face on him. Gosh, this guy and his smooth words and humor!

"Hey, are you annoyed?"

"Umalis ka na."

"Wala ka na bang pasok?"

"Yes."

"Wait lang," hinabol niya ako at hinarangan ang daanan ko. "Let's hang out?"

I sighed. "I'm busy..."

Thinking of you, eme.

"Weh? Baka iniiwasan mo lang ako, e," he said. "Should I ask your friends to grab your stuff or ikaw lang kukuha?"

"I'm not going."

"Too bad. I'm stubborn as hell, Maiana."

At the end, I found myself eating kwek-kwek. Yeah, he's really stubborn as hell. He won't stop so I just agreed in the end. He keep talking about how I really enjoy eating kwek-kwek before and he was suprise that after that, I never eaten a kwek-kwek. I tried it before without him, it wasn't just the same if he wasn't there. And now, he's here again, that feeling is here again.
