My sister came back last night so I decided I'm gonna update. Why did that make me wanna update? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Kai was awoken by a gentle shake.

He opened his eyes groggily and realized it was Cole shaking him.

Seeing he was awake Cole spoke.

"We're here." He said quietly, which Kai greatly appreciated.

Kai sat up straight (don't you dare) and stretched.

The door to the carriage opened and Cole stepped out followed by Kai.

Once he was out of the carriage Kai froze in shock.

Now, Kai had seen his fair share of castles when he went to things like balls and coronations and weddings and the like.

But standing in front of him was the biggest castle he had ever seen.

It was gigantic. At least twice the size of the one Kai lived in.

He was broken from his shock when he was nudged by Skyler.

"You good?" Skyler asked him.

"Yeah, fine."

They started walking towards the castle.

"So how was the ride?" The redhead asked.

"It was fine. Cole's a lot less..." Kai trailed off for a moment. "He's less stern then he seemed when I met him." He finished.

"He's pretty nervous and shy actually." He said with a chuckle.

"Anyway, how was your ride?" He asked Skyler.

"It was good. She was pretty fun to talk to. She was a little awkward, I think from a lack of social interaction, but it was nice."

"What's her name?"

"Her name is Vania. She's a beta. Turns out she was born to one of the maids and once she grew up she decided to become a guard."

Kai nodded in acknowledgement.

They entered the castle and Kai nearly stopped in shock again except Skyler kept pulling him along.

Cole was in front of them leading the way with a dark golden blonde girl next to him, who Kai assumed to be Vania.

That was an after thought though.

Kai was way to distracted by the sheer size of the corridors.

Similarly to the outside, the corridors were about twice the size of the ones at his castle.

And the artwork!

It was incredible. Some of the highest quality Kai had ever seen.

The windows they passed by were massive.

And the stained glass was beautiful.

Suddenly he was stopped.

He looked in front of him finally and saw a huge door.

This must be the throne room.

Cole looked at Kai and motioned for him to come over.

Kai went and stood next to Cole.

Cole locked their arms together and pushed the door open.

The throne room was even bigger than Kai had expected.

He had expected it would be about twice as big as his throne room, like all the other parts of the castle he had seen.

But no. It was bigger.

At least three times bigger.

He registered Cole pulling him forward and moved with Cole.

Looking in front of him he saw the thrones.

And suddenly he didn't want to be here.

On the thrones were Cole parents.

Kai didn't think he had ever been so intimidated.

His father was tall, with neatly combed jet black hair, a stoney face and very very very expensive looking clothing.

His mother was also very tall, with very nearly jet black hair (though it was definitely slightly lighter than her husband and sons hair) pulled into a tight bun, clothing than looked equally expensive and a face that looked both kind and judging at the same time.

But they both had the same foresty green eyes that held the same kindness as Cole.

"Hello mother, father." Cole greeted suddenly.

"Hello my dear son. Is this your Omega?" His mother replied.

"Yes mother."

The two rulers inspected Kai for a moment.

"Yes. He will do. He seems strong. That's a good trait for a king." Cole's father commented.

"I agree. He's also very pretty, don't you think? He will provide beautiful heirs for both ours and his kingdom." His mother said while his father nodded in agreement.

Kai felt incredibly uncomfortable.

It felt like they were talking about him as though he wasn't there.

And the mention of an heir made a kind of uncomfortable knot form in his stomach.

"Well, you should go and settle into your new arrangement."

Kai realized the king was talking to him and quickly nodded.

Cole led him out of the room and back into the corridor.

"Are you okay?" Cole asked once the door was closed.

Kai nodded.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Kai said shakily.

"Yeah, my parents can be kind of intimidating. But don't worry, they like you, really."

Kai looked at him with a look that just said 'really?'

"Really! I brought a couple of others back to meet my parents and they were all turned away."

They did make Kai feel a little better.

"Can we just go to our room now?"

Cole nodded and started to lead him to their newly shared bedroom.

Kai neglected to mention just how uncomfortable the subject of an heir made him.

Here was this person he barely knew, and they were going to have to make a child.

The thought made his stomach turn.

He decided to distract himself by admiring the architecture and decor again.

It really was incredible.

How was he ever going to be able to find his way around this place?

All to soon they reached their bedroom.

Cole opened the door and led Kai in.

The first thing that drew his attention was the bed.

It was even bigger than his parents bed, and looked unreasonably soft.

He gazed around the rest of the room and admired the mostly black and orange color scheme but was quickly drawn back to the bed.

"Are you tired?" Cole said startling Kai.

"Yeah kinda. My nap on the way here wasn't the most restful." Kai admitted.

"Feel free to take a nap. We don't have anything to do today and dinner isn't for a few hours." Cole offered.

Kai hesitated for a moment before moving to the bed.

He removed some of his jewelry and accessories before sitting on the bed.

It was like sitting on a cloud.

He removed his shoes and then laid down.

And almost as soon as his head hit the pillow he was out.
