CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

I gulped and shook my head repeatedly. I wiped a tear from my eyes. "If you're just doing this for pity, stop it, Nico. It won't work. Leave," I firmly said.

"I'm not doing it for pity, Selene because I don't need it. The last thing I want to see in people's eyes while looking at me is pity," he replied and clenched his jaw.

"Then why are you showing that to me now?" I scoffed at his tattoo.

Iniwas ko ang tingin sa tattoo niya. I stared at him directly into his eyes.

"Everyone may think that I'm a villain. That I'm a monster that has no heart. But I also have a heart that has been lost for a long time. This tattoo is the proof that I'm not after all a monster, despite what other people think of me. I'm just a human too. I cry and feel pain. I just don't let anyone see me in that state... Weak and vulnerable." Nico said under his breath.

"I was hurt that I wanted to see you suffering too. Loving me must be so fucking hard, and for that, I'm really sorry. I'm having a hard time loving myself too." Napahilamos ito sa mukha gamit ang kamay.

"I'm fucked up. Fucking fucked up."

"Buti alam mo," sabi ko.

Sandaling katahimikan ang namayani sa aming dalawa.

I let out a heavy sigh. "Umalis ka na bago ka pa makita ni-" Naputol ang sasabihin ko ng bigla na lang akong kinabig ni Nico at hinalikan sa labi.

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa gulat. I looked at Nico and his eyes were closed. Dilat na dilat ang mga mata ko.

Itutulak ko na sana ito ng hinapit nito ang bewang ko at ginalaw niya ang labi niya sa bibig ko.

"Hmmmm...." pumiglas ko.

"Shhhh... I'll leave you after this. Just give me a minute to cherish this last kiss with you," he whispered to me and kissed me tenderly.

Napabuka ako sa labi ko ng bahagya nitong kagatin ang labi ko. I could feel his hands lightly caressing my waist up and down. He never kissed me like this before. He's kissing me with care and love now.

I can't help but to kiss him back too. Nakakadala ang paraan ng paghalik niya sa akin. I almost forgot our situation. That we shouldn't be doing this.

"I don't want to let you go..." Lumipat ang halik nito sa may tenga ko.

Napahawak ako sa pisngi ni Nico at diniin pa ang kanyang labi sa may tenga ko. It's ticklish. Tinaas ko bahagya ang leeg ko ng bumaba ang halik niya sa akin. To give him more access to my neck.

I moaned when he lightly bit my neck.

"But you want me to let you go already... Because I've been hurting you," he said in between his kisses.

"Ahhmm..." tanging na usal ko dala ng sensasyong nararamdaman ko.

It's been a long time since we last kissed.

Napahinto ako ng biglang may naalala ako.

"You don't deserve me," he hoarsely uttered.

"Hi! You're Nico's wife right? Can I borrow your husband just one night?"

Parang binuhosan ako ng malamig na tubig ng biglang may boses na nagsalita sa utak ko. This is wrong. Umiiral na naman ang pagiging marupok ko. And I hate it.

I shouldn't be marupok anymore.

"It's better to just..." Natulak ko si Nico at malakas na sinampal ito. "End this as you wish." Nico let go of my lips.
