April's pov:

It was the next day.

I just got back from work. I took a shower and chilled on the couch watching TV for a bit. I look at the time. 5:45 pm.

Shit. Mya is coming soon I should get ready for the party.

I run into my room and grab a hoodie and jeans. I put them on...

*Knock* *Knock*

Oh Mya's here!

I open the door and was greeted by a big bright smile.

Mya: "Heyyyy! Are you excited, cause I am!"
April: "Not really, but you look good."
Mya: "Thanks. I got my top from H&M and my skirt from Shein!"
April: "Didn't ask, but cool!"

Mya looks me up and down.

Mya: "Thats not what your wearing, right?"
April: "It is, why?"
Mya: "April! I said no hoodie!"

Mya storms in throwing her purse on the counter and heads to my room. I follow her as she starts going through my closet.

Mya: "You don't have anything cute in here?!"
April: "Woah, yes I do! Like that shirt!"
Mya: "It's an Adventure Time shirt."
April: "And Adventure Time is cute!"
Mya: "Okay the jeans you have on are cute but you need a top!"
April: "I think I look perfectly fine."
Mya: "Oh I just remembered I brought a crop top in case I spill anything on my top!"

Mya runs to grab her purse she left on the counter and pulls out a crop top.

Mya: "This crop top will look so cute with your jeans!"
April: "Uhhh why do you just have a crop top in your purse?"
Mya: "I'm clumsy and spill on myself all the time! I just have to hope I don't this time. Now go put it on!"

I go to my room taking off my hoodie and putting on the cropped shirt. I come back out.

Mya: "You look so pretty."
April: "I feel cold."
Mya: "Okay come!"

She runs to the bathroom sitting me down on the toilet.

Mya: "I have some makeup with me and you could really use some."
April: "Ouch!"
Mya: "I don't mean it like that! I'm just saying you could enhance your features more!"

Mya starts applying the makeup on my face.

Mya: "You look so pretty! Here why don't you let your hair down. There!"

I look in the mirror...

Mya: "Wow Matt's missing out!!"
April: "Okay is that it, can we go now?!"
Mya: "Yeah, let's go!"

We head out and I get in Mya's car. She starts to drive us to the party...

Mya: "We're here!"

We both get out of the car walking up to the door and Mya knocks. Someone opens the door.

Mya: "Hey Ty!"
Tyler: "Hey Mya! Who's this?"
Mya: "My friend, April!"
Tyler: "Oh cool. Anyways y'all can come in."
Mya: "Where's the birthday boy?!!"
Tyler: "Uh... I don't know?"
Mya: "Okay we'll catch up with you later Ty!"
Tyler: "Cya!"
Mya: "April, follow me."
April: "Where are we going?"
Mya: "I'm trying to give my present to- oh my gosh Emily heyyy!!"

Mya runs off to her friends.

How is she just going to leave me like that? I don't know anyone here.

I watch as Mya laughs with her friends.

Mya: "Where's April? OH APRIL COME! COME WE'RE GONNA DANCE! COME DANCE WITH US!!"

I shake my head.

Mya: "OKAY!"

Mya proceeds to dance around with everyone. I cringed watching Mya dance. I decide to find the kitchen for a drink.

I get to the kitchen and I find a cooler with drinks. I grab a can of Pepsi and sit down to drink it.

This is so fucking boring.

As I was drinking my Pepsi I decided to look for something to eat.

I head back to the kitchen and see some chips and pizza.

???: "April?"

I turn around...

April: "Nick? Hey!"

Finally, someone I know!

Nick: "I didn't know you knew Nathan."
April: "Who?"
Nick: "The birthday boy."
April: "Oh, no I don't."
Nick: "Oh?"
April: "My friend knows him though. She forced me to come."
Nick: "You look really good by the way!"
April: "Thanks!"
Nick: "If your wondering, Matt's here somewhere!"
April: "Oh, yeah thanks."
Nick: "Of course!"

???: "Nick come back!"
Nick: "Be there in a sec Madi! Gotta go!"

Nick runs off as I'm left alone again. I decide to walk around hoping I'd bump into Matt.

As I'm walking around I see Matt.

April: "Hey Mat-"

I noticed he was with another girl...

It's probably just a friend.

I keep walking to get to Matt when l see the girl start touching Matt's shoulders. Then pulls him in for a kiss.

What the fuck?!
