The wedding was so beautiful. It was in a garden but it was cold since it was January so there was the garden part which was covered in snow and plants, it was amazing for a photoshoot and the indoor part which was heated, had the tables and dance floor. The actual wedding ceremony was held inside the mosque but this was the reception.

Noor and Raheem sat at a fancier table then the rest at the front. Reyna, Andie, Callum, Jen, Isaac, and I were sat together at a table near the front with our plus ones who were just Ravi and Ivy since Andie and Jen had officially started dating and Reyna and Callum were painfully single.

I was a lot happier now that it had been about a month since Christmas, the dinner at Ivy's house with her family went great. I was a lot closer with her family now. Her mom's going to teach me how to make tamales next week. I lost my train of thought when Ivy came behind me holding a glass of coke.

"Thanks babe." I smiled up at her and grabbed the glass.

"Your very welcome." She replied as she sat down beside me.

She looked so hot today. She wore a white button up shirt with a black blazer, black dress pants and black heels. Her hair had just been cut to curl around her neck. She was absolutely breathtaking.

We didn't sit for long before the first dance was starting to happen. After a few minutes of Noor and Raheem dancing they called all the couple to the stage. Isaac practically has to drag Ravi there, making me smile. Jen and Andie giggled as they both walked to the dance floor, Jen kissed their cheek sloppily as they got there. In the midst of the joy of seeing my friend dancing I saw Ivy holding out her hand in the corner of my eye.

"Would you like to dance?" She smiled.

"I would love to." I took her hand as we walked to the dance floor.

We slow danced for a couple of minutes before I put my head on her shoulder. In the side of my vision I saw Callum and Reyna slow dancing, it was weird but I was happy for them as a soft smile came across my face looking at them. I looked over at Noor and saw her laughing at something Raheem whispered in her ear.

"This is absolutely perfect." I whispered to Ivy.

"It is, maybe the next time we do this will be our wedding." Ivy suggested smugly.

"Or it could be Ravi and Isaac's or Jen and Andie's." I suggested as I smirked up at her.

"We both know it won't be Jen and Andie's, they both have bad commitment issues." Ivy said which made me let out a small laugh.

"Our wedding would be amazing, we'd have it in a garden outside, in summer obviously." Ivy reminisced.

"In June, that's the month we met." I blurted out.

"In june." She gazed down at me intensely with a dopey smile on her face.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I questioned with a smile on my face.

"I love you so much Priya Khalsi." She kissed me softly.

"I love you too Ivana Ortega." I replied as I broke our kiss.

I put my head back on her shoulder as the song started to come to an end. We swayed to the music for a bit before sitting back down. I was content like this, with my friends and my girlfriend. This was all I needed.

Hiiii! I feel kind of weird being done with this story, especially since it's my first one. I'd like to thank anyone who made it to the end even though it's not very well done. Also I just wanted to explain why I didn't make her reconcile with her parents bc I feel like I made it seem like she would for a bit there. I was going to make her make up with her parents and have an emotional scene and all that but I decided against when I realized that every piece of queer media I've ever read/watched always showed reconciliation between parents and kids which I just didn't think was accurate for a lot of ppl nor does it define having a 'happy ending' these queer characters can still have happy endings while not talking to their parents. Anyways that's all with my little rant. I might end up making a couple bonus chapters as well so watch out for that bye bye!
