It's been a week since Ivana gave me her number. I haven't called though, I mean what do I even say? Right now I'm on my way to a wedding that I'm doing mehndi (henna) for.

Every wedding I usually get around $1000-3500. It pays a lot of the rent. After I'm done with the mehndi I have to go straight to work.

My hands hurt after the mehndi event. It's been 3 hours and I've done mehndi on 80 people, but I'm now $2300 richer so it's worth it. I have to quickly go home, change and put away my supplies.

I unlocked the door and was immediately greeted with the sight of a pink haired blur running around the apartment.

"Um is there any reason you look like your being chased by a psycho?" I said confused.

"That stupid cat brought back a 'dead' bird back and now it's flying around!" Reyna yelled whilst running away from the bird chasing her.

Then the bird started chasing me, I screamed and jumped over the couch towards Reyna's room. We shut the door and caught our breaths.

"We need a plan." She said still a little out of breath.

"You have those sunflower seeds in your drawer maybe we can lure it with those and then trap it under a box." I replied.

"I guess we could try but if that things comes towards me I'm sacrificing you." She said.

"Asshole." I muttered digging through her drawer to get the sunflower seeds.

She grabbed the box as I opened the door. I poured the seeds in the corner of the living room and waited for the bird to show up.

It went to the seeds a couple minutes later and Reyna put the box over it. She slid a thin board of wood (why did we have that in our house?) underneath the box and picked it up.

"Open that window." She said.

"Ok." I replied while moving towards the window. As soon as I opened the window she opened the box and the bird flew out the window. I closed the window and gave her a high five before rushing towards my room.

"I'm going to be late for work, I need to change, goodbye." I said frantically, while speeding into my room.

"Ok have fun, I'll probably be sleeping so don't make noise when you get home or I'll cut your fingers off." She replied.

"Ok." I said as I closed my door.

I quickly changed into black jeans and a baby blue sweater. I decided to put my hair into a low ponytail to keep it out of my face at work.

I drove there in about 10ish minutes and parked around the corner. It was my first day back since being sick and part of me was kind of hoping maybe Ivana would be there.  But I don't think she would come back after the train wreck that happened last time.

As soon as I got inside I saw my friends Andie, Isaac, Jen, and Callum. They're all waiters that I work with, Jen's bright smile is what I saw first along with her brown glowing skin and Bantu knots, Andie smiled and waved me over frantically which made their blue hair flop around.

There are also other people who work here like Johnny who's the other bartender but he's kinda creepy and the cooks Uma, Brandy, Luke, and Sam. But I don't talk to them much, along with the other people who work other shifts.

"Hi guys." I said waving at them.

"Hi." Isaac smiled, I quickly noticed that his usually curly platinum blonde hair had been dyed back to black.

Before I could point it out Callum bluntly asked,"How are you feeling? You fell pretty hard on that girl."

"I'm fine now." I blushed a little at the memory.

"You know that girl has come back every single night since you fell on her, she's kind cute." Jen said while wiggling her eyebrows.

"Really?" I asked. God I sounded desperate.

"Yup." Callum said while somehow finding some chips to munch on.

"I think she might be looking for you, she keeps looking around the bar, as if she's trying to find someone." Jen butted in.

"Oh ok, well I'm going to go to the bar, bye." I replied trying to not sound that excited.

About an hour had passed, I kept looking at the door to see if she would show but she didn't. I was starting to lose hope when the door opened again.

It wasn't her, but that's ok. I should try not to get so obsessed, but I just can't help it when my body moves to look at the door every time I hear it open.

About another hour passed and by this point the bar was to busy for me to keep checking the door. But I didn't need to anymore because she was here.

She walked in wearing an outfit quite similar to the last one, she had black jeans and the same black leather jacket but this time with a white satin button up shirt tucked into her jeans. Her brown hair was in a bun today. She looked stressed.

"Can i have a coke." She said bluntly.

"I-ok um sure." I said a little surprised that she wasn't as friendly as before.

"Thanks," she said under breath as I gave the coke to her.

"Your welcome." I replied, quickly turning around to get other orders.

I glanced back at her a couple times but each time she was looking at a different place in the bar as if she was trying to find someone.

"Are you looking for someone?" I asked before thinking about it.

"No, I'm actually leaving now." She replied as she got up and put down a $20 bill.

"This is a lot for just a coke." I said but by then she was already out the door.

Weird. She seemed mad. Oh well, it's not any of my business. I thought as I moved to start cleaning up before the bar closed.
When I finished cleaning I said bye to everyone and went out to my car to drive home.

When I got home all the lights were off so I assumed Reyna was sleeping. I went to my room and changed into my pjs, I got in bed and tried to fall asleep but I couldn't stop thinking about how Ivana acted. It felt a little disapointing. Maybe I should text her?

Hello! Ok so first I just wanted to say mehndi=henna just so that's clear. Also I reread the last chapter and realized there were quite a lot of grammar mistakes so sorry about that, but this is my first story and I'm not that good of a writer. I don't rly have anything else to say so bye bye!
