A sweet looking older lady with greyish black hair opened the door and smiled which deepened her wrinkles. I assumed she was Ivy's mom but before I could spend time evaluating her more she pulled me into a bone crushing hug.

"It is so nice to meet you." She practically squealed with joy.

"Mom I told you I'd get the door." Ivy came up behind her and opened the door some more, properly letting me in.

I smiled at her and stood there awkwardly not knowing if I should kiss her or not, she made that decision quicker then I did though when she quickly kissed my lips before turning towards the living room where everyone was. They were all staring which made me a lot more nervous.

"Priya this is my dad, Jay and my mom Esmeralda." Ivy gestured towards a bald older man and the lady who opened the door who'd now sat beside her husband on one of the couches.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you Mr and Mrs. Ortega." I smiled.

"No please call us Jay and Esme." Esme aggressively suggested.

"This is Mateo, Lilith and Xolo." Ivy gestured towards a black haired man with a slight beard holding a baby and a brunette woman, they were both on the other couch.

"Hi." I smiled a bit awkwardly.

"Hello." They both said in unison.

"This is Raul and Grace." Ivy gestured to a brown haired man who did not have a beard and a ginger haired woman on the other side of the couch.

"Hi, Ivana's told us so much about you." Grace smiled.

"Oh, that's nice." I smiled nervously and looked at Ivy.

"And last but not least this is Delfina and Andrea." Ivy gestured towards a brown haired girl and a ginger haired girl playing with Barbies on the floor.

"Hi." The toddlers waved.

"Hi." I smiled and waved back.

"I'll take ur jacket." Ivy already started to take it off me before I shrugged it off.

"Thanks but I can just put it in the closet." I offered.

"It's ok." She smiled.

"So I'm assuming you've been here a lot?" Raul said smugly.

"I-um well." I stuttered and tried to look at Ivy for help but she just laughed.

"Yeah she has." Ivy finally said.

Everyone laughed a bit, so did I. It made me feel a tiny bit more comfortable. Ivy guided me to the third couch in the living room and passed me a glass of water before sitting down beside me. Her arm settled around me as we fell into conversation with her family.

"So Ivy said that your studying to be a psychiatrist, how's that going?" Esme asked.

"It's good, stressful but good." I smiled.

"That's nice, your also a bartender right?" Lilith asked.

"Yeah it's actually how Ivy and I met, she came to the bar while I was working and I kind of fainted on her." I replied.

"Why?" Grace asked curiously.

"Well I had a bad fever but I still went to work and I ended up fainting on her." I said.

"Oh wow that's one way to meet somebody." Mateo replied.

I smiled before Esme changed the topic. I saw Ivy turn to get up and turned my head towards her, "Where are you going?" I asked nervously.

"I'm just going to check on dinner." She smiled reassuringly while squeezing my hand.

"I'll go help you." I moved to get up but she pushed me back down.
